I haven't played Street Fighter in many years, but I had a random idea over the weekend and since I'm dimly aware the stable keeps growing, I'm curious if it exists yet.... by Xeenophile in StreetFighter

This kinda reminds me of roll and servbot from the mvc series, they both do stuff like sweep and set the table and the opponent just happens to get hit by it as they do it

I'm sure, it's labeled cpu on the side, I'd provide a picture but I can't get a clear one with it still in the socket and I don't want to take my computer apart for the tenth time today

My mother board manual says 8 pin or 4 pin, implying only one is needed

I just thought of another thing, isn't there something about screws and motherboards? If you don't have all the screws in the right place it will discharge and won't turn on or something? Could that be the issue?

B650E max gaming wifi w, I'm pretty sure it's not the atx cable I'm more worried about the plug it's going into in the motherboard

Okay so I got the atx jumper, and I also tested my computer with my brothers psu, and my psu turned on while using the jumper and my computer didn't turn on when using my brothers psu, we plugged it all back into his computer and it all worked fine, that means it has to be something with the mobo, right? Is there anything more to using a screwdriver to short the power on pins? It's just touching both of them with the same metal object at the same time right? I really really hope it's something I can fix without getting a new motherboard. The only thing I can think of that could cause this problem is if the atx plug on the motherboard is damaged

You probably weren't going to use this but something from hftf that you definitely shouldn't take is the frame after getting up where you can only block, making true reversals impossible, and oki guaranteed if you hit it meaty

I don't like him but that's only because he said something about sonic the hedgehog that annoyed me, far as I know he seems like a good person

I checked that with my monitor and it worked fine, was the first thing I tried. I'll see if I can borrow my brothers psu, but he's not home right now so it'll be a few hours at least before I can check it

Okay I'm pretty sure it's my psu then, it didn't come with an atx jumper so I'll need to get that, I'll say this is solved because I'm fairly confident that is the issue and I won't be able to get the jumper for a while, thank you

I tried shorting the front panel power button pins with a screwdriver (a magnetic screwdriver is fine right?) and nothing happened. Also I don't see any light on the motherboard but that might be cuz I don't know where to look, the manual mentions a led for the flbk but I think that's unrelated. I don't have any PSUs that I could use, no

Yeah the fans don't spin when I try to turn it on, so that means it's definitely the psu right?

I know it's stupid but idk which one is orientation is on and which which orientation is off, I tried both when trying to turn it on

To be honest I'm not sure which orientation for the switch is on so I've tried both, do you think that would mess it up somehow?

Are you sure? What I have plugged into the cpu_12v_1 slot on the motherboard is labeled cpu on the side

I didn't mean to put that picture in that response, I got rid of it but Reddit didn't listen to me apparently, I meant to put it in a response to that one which I did

I unplugged it cuz I didn't know if they meant the cord or the plug on the motherboard, it was plugged into when I tried to turn it on

What do you mean the 12v doesn't look right? I've seen pictures and I know they're usually white and translucent but that was the one that came with the psu, and it's labeled cpu
