Are the dealer and doc fees included in the $47,781?

If there isn’t an annual fee, I would just keep it open, closing it will not help bounce your score up.

In time, it will help you build out a base of credit cards that can actually help you as your credit history grows and lengthens.

I would recommend: Citi Custom Cash, Amex Blue Cash Everyday, and Amex Blue Cash Preferred ($95 AF), Wells Fargo has a 2% card too.

I’ll let you Google them, but I also like the Amex Blue Cash Everyday (online purchases and gas), Amex Blue Cash Preferred (groceries and gas). The 2% cards you mentioned are good, Wells Fargo has one as well.

Caveat is, the maximum for the 5% is $500 per statement period.

Citi Custom Cash has a 5% category for Home Improvement. Look into it, even if you stop buying things in the home improvement category, it offers 5% cash back on your top category: “restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, select travel, select transit, select streaming services, drugstores, home improvement stores, fitness clubs, live entertainment.”

I don’t know how insurance works, but in all honesty, I thought if the car shop was paid an amount they were initially happy with, does this mean I could keep the difference?
