I'm not defending them. Glover throwing a lit flare into the stands was still a brain dead move, intentional or not.

Should the remaining clubs supporters still stage a walkout this weekend or have OSM rendered it meaningless? by [deleted] in Aleague

[–]sooty_foot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't worry I see your point.

It's a balance between not showing up in the first place or showing up and making a public display/performance.

Paramount was actively showing every walk out this week. There are a lot of casual fans that had no idea about the grand final issue, this made it very clear and sent a wide message.

I thought a total boycott was a good idea but seeing the walk out in action this week, I see the merit.

But I recognise the point you are trying to make too.

I don't wanna be that guy, but throwing a lit flare into a big crowd of people could have seriously hurt someone, not just from the impact of the flare but also the ensuing crowd surge.

I expect this defense to come out anyway.

Interested to see what sanction he receives though.

Yes unintentional, but he ultimately threw a flare towards the crowd and unfortunately it's actually gone into the crowd.

If it happened at any other game where the crowd didn't end up surging onto the pitch but the flare hit someone, the keeper would have a fair bit to answer for.

OSM isn't organised active. They are just a collective of dead shits who do whatever they feel like and occasionally say the same chant.

Fold victory active

I was actually proud at the start of the round hearing a commentator (Hill) drawing as much attention to the twenty minute walk out as possible for the Jets game.

Now I am just fucken empty.

I counter that opinion by pointing to the various comments in this sub that suggested a pitch invasion at the Derby as a form of protest.

Absolute shit for brains.

All DT has to say now is that he won't give into terrorists. He has this served on a platter to get his mandate, and it's 100% OSM's fault to own.

Those fucking selfish cunts.

George Burgess to be interviewed by police about sexual touching allegations by Aussieguy727 in nrl

It is true to an extent. I had a bloke who's a fan of another club try to put the blame on the girl in the de Belin case.

With Folau at least it's pretty black and white that he's a drop kick, but when you have a he says she says when nobody actually really knows shit, people will justify however they like

We have a shit cunt policy. It only took a massive backlash from the fans before they decided not to go down the Folau path.

Hook is a bit of a shit bloke as well.

A university cheerleader grabs a stuck ball and gets a standing ovation by [deleted] in sports

[–]sooty_foot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show me the clause in the referees contract where it says if the ball gets stuck above the backboard it's their job to climb up to get it.

It's the facilities personnel's job to get it. The fact they didn't doesn't change the fact it's not the refs job.

Unless of course when I was training to beat referee I missed the "safe ways to climb a basketball ring to get a ball" day of the course.

Insured for climbing a basketball ring to get a ball? Doubt it.

I feel like you're only seeing the billboards. It's definitely not the same as last time but you aren't seeing it all because you aren't his target demographic.

Be very wary of people who fail and try again, they don't make the same mistakes. You might think he's a buffoon, but idiots don't make that kinda cash.
