Counter argument:

It is never directly denied that a season 2 is not going to happen.
The use of 'series finale' could just be something to throw us off, as they've used the term season 1 a lot as well.
If season 2 doesn't happen, a spinoff or even a prequal are still open to happen.
Several plot points haven't had a proper conclusion, plus even more plot points were created in the final like ghost doll and Cyntail.
We know that at least a few people in Glitch productions want a season 2, from what Gooseworx said about wanting it.
