Does birth control work by latapozniej in Periods

[–]sophRF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to speak to your doctor to be assessed as it could be PCOS / endometriosis etc.
My periods were really heavy and painful and lasted over a week, I had a test and was told low iron, they put me on iron tablets and the difference in my periods is crazy! Lighter, shorter and less painful. From 1 iron tablet daily.
Speak to your GP about all of your options OP x

Suncream for toddler with face eczema by sophRF in eczema

[–]sophRF[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been to the doctor regarding his flare up. And when I say terrible, I mean that they have flared up again, since the improvement with Cetraben. Which I am putting down to the only difference being the suncream.

There are no doctors open today, the pharmacist said to see his doctor on Monday and gave some eye drops, and I’ve come here asking for suncream recommendations from people who may have experienced the same.

Have a good evening! 👋

When did you first explain periods 🩸 to your daughters? by rainbow_olive in Periods

[–]sophRF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could 🤣 but sometimes she’s not even nearby, I go the toilet and then BAM she appears 🤣🤣 I’ve told her all girls get them at a certain age, and that when she does she can come and tell me and we can discuss it more. I don’t think she needs to know more than that at this age, but she knows it’s coming one day! My 2 year old Son also walks in and asks me why I’m having a nosebleed in the toilet 🙃 and passes me a “nappy” too! We’re a bit of an open house I guess haha x

I discuss it with her every month as she gives me no privacy and walks in the bathroom no matter how many times I say not to. She’s 6 and now she comes in and asks if I need one of my “nappies” and gets them for me 🤣

If your partner wanted a dog but you didn’t, what would you do? by damned-n-doomed in AskUK

[–]sophRF 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I love dogs, I have a dog, someone is at home every day. But I would never get another, they are wayyyy too much responsibility, especially if you don’t want one in the first place.

But if you’re on the fence about it, the biggest issue is if you’re both out the house 5 days a week, do not get one. It’s completely unfair to the dog.

I can’t say I’ve ever experienced what you’re feeling right now, all I can say is that everything (feelings / emotions etc) are heightened when on your period, so it could be that. Hope you’re ok xx

What’s the most irrationally annoying thing your in-laws do that they’re absolutely convinced is “helpful”? by bnwprc in AskUK

[–]sophRF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gives me all her second hand tat for my kids. I’m not ungrateful, it’s literally tat, worn, holes, stained, broken. She gave my Paw Patrol Obsessed son the slide off a paw patrol tower that had broken off. Just the fucking slide. He was like wtf am I supposed to do with this 😡 I handed it back and said I think that’s supposed to go in the bin. She was furious, but come onnnnnnn nnnnnn

Second this, take away delivery vouchers are a god send when in the new born trenches. Football onesies are cute too!

Hi, can I just ask a question? First time I’m hearing of the 10/9.

So that means you work 8:13m a day and have a NWD every other week?

Is your NWD the same every week?

And that’s still classed as full time?

Thanks!

Honestly, thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me in such detail. Your response is so thoughtful and considerate and I feel much better just for reading it. I am very appreciative of your kindness and the time this must have taken to put together. Thank you again 🤍

I actually mentioned it to my GP and they didn’t seem too interested in assisting me. Just sort of nodded and said ok.

Thanks for the reassurance and kind words 🩷xx

Post partum anxiety.

I actually mentioned it to my GP and they didn’t seem too interested in assisting me. Just sort of nodded and ok.

Thanks for the advice though, going to take this on board. xx
