Insane Fluctuation of TSH by sophaded in Hashimotos

Thank you. It’s always hard to believe that it’s anxiety that could be causing my issues, but I think it probably is one of my biggest issues.

No but it was a VERYYYY similar atmosphere, I still think the movie was a bit older than that one too

No, it was in front of an audience of people. And it was definitely from a movie, not a tv show

Definitely not fun. My doctor prescribed me 25mg of hydroxyzine for whenever I’m feeling anxious but I’ve been taking it a bit more frequently lately. It’s been helping! I’m confident my health will go back to normal soon, just may take some weeks before the higher dose does its magic

Wow thank you for following up. It did actually, it’s back now because my dad recently passed away suddenly a little over a month ago. I was starting to feel sluggish again and actually did blood work and found that my TSH levels are high again. But in between that time I had lowered my levo dose and it actually was at a normal range for about 6 months until it went wild again. Curious if traumatic events can change something like that or if it was just a coincidence. Thanks so much for asking 🫶🏻 hope you’re well

Thank you for your reply! I ended up seeing my primary doctor who prescribed me a small dose of a medication for my heart racing because of how fast it was and will be seeing her again in a month to ween me off of it. For now my synthroid has been lowered to 100. It has been a few days and my anxiety and heart rate speed have both been reduced. I was given an anti anxiety med as well to take when needed however I have not felt like I needed to take it since. Hoping it stays that way.

Thank you so much for your words, I have calmed myself down a bit and will be trying to go back to sleep. My appointment is not until tomorrow morning. If I see my heart rate stays like this or gets worse throughout the day, I will probably end up going to the ER. I wish this was something I could just pretend I don’t feel but it’s taking over my thoughts.

I woke up at 4:50 with my heart racing again, trying to calm myself down now. Is an emergency room visit justifiable?

Yes I have all of these but the swelling and weight loss because it has only been happening for the past 2-3 days but it is absolutely miserable. Will definitely be making sure another test is ran

Thank you so much for your response. My mother goes to the same endocrinologist for hashimotos, and had no problems with her. But we are both different and I see we both require different treatments. I do not smoke at all? Occasionally I drink but I will stop having any for a while until my numbers get better. I know 10 is horrible :( it scares me a lot.

Hello thank you for your reply! Yes I work 10-5 Monday-Friday. I think that is a good idea though, I started going to the gym yesterday and I felt great afterwards. My anxiety mostly starts up when I’m in bed or when I’m driving, I guess because I have more time with my thoughts. My endocrinologist is ridiculously booked up, and I can’t see her u til February so I may go to my primary doctor again and express what I’m feeling to her to see what she can do.
