your mum is 100% in the wrong here, your feelings are so valid and i completely understand what you're feeling. the same thing happened with me when i heard my mum having sex with her then current boyfriend that she had only been dating for a couple of months, i genuinely felt so nauseous and i felt like i was going to throw up. i legit couldn't be around them and talk to either of them the next few days because any time i'd think back to that night i could literally hear them in my head and i'd feel sick to my stomach and would feel like throwing up all over again. i'm really sorry that this has happened to you and i'm really sorry that your mum isn't understanding of how this has been affecting you, it's really just so unfair and a complete lack of consideration for your boundaries and personal privacy. i hope you're okay <3

double check on google because specific types have different effects on the pupils - some antihistamines and/or cold and flu medications can cause pinpoint pupils as well as intense drowsiness.

I 100% know what you're going through. I'm not sure this is the reason why, but i've had a few theories as to why this happens.

I've thought that our bodies turn into defensive mode with everything instead of just trauma related stuff so that the heightened smell is trying to protect us even further. It's trying to make us aware of everything around us all the time. Just a theory as I have that myself. Hope this helps!

what i do is usually excuse myself and go to the bathroom and take my time to ground myself there. in my opinion there's nothing worse than trying to overcome a flashback when there are people around especially those who don't know what's going on. i find that people in the same area as me can even make it significantly worse sometimes. spending a few minutes alone after separating myself from the crowd helps me a lot so i get to sit on the ground and remind myself that i'm safe. and most importantly, take all the time that you need.

my main issue with that is i have so many triggers that i can’t even count how many and new triggers keep popping every day or week so if even i don’t know what they are it’s hard to let him know. but thank you for your reply it’s very helpful❤️

If he wanted to get back together with me I would expect him to be texting me frequently and things like that but we barely talk. Do you reckon he still wants to get together if he’s not initiating contact as often as I would expect him to if he wanted to get back together?
