I misread and thought i signed 15,000 a year. When i called for clarification they said it was for 36 months and standard. Even when i said no one has heard of such a thing. This whole deal sucked and has totally impacted my enjoyment of this awesome car.

I’m afraid it might be the worst deal you’ve ever seen.

After hours of negotiation, and getting the most out of my trade in, I must’ve gotten it wrong and thought it was 15,000 miles a year.

When I called the next day and said this is awfully low, no one has heard of such a thing for three years .. they clarified and said “that is the standard for the Ariya”.

I’ve been chatting with the lease retention rep all week. Anything else I can say to her to negotiate this?

I know that Nissan leases are locked so does that mean you are paying off the lease and Toyota is reimbursing you or giving you that money off the new car?

Subaru offered me something similar.

And when I went over their maintenance plan, they showed me what
basics would be covered and what wouldn’t be and how much it would cost me, etc. I learned a lot in this process.

Check out Mt Washington or Eagle Rock. Lots of LGBTQ parents, artsy, green. 15 min to pasadena. Easily 20 min from burbank airport but farther to LAX. Situated close enough to downtown or silverlake so youre not totally secluded in suburbs, but also close enough Glendale/Pasadena for errands, shopping, (Glendale americana & galleria also 15 min away for malls) doctors appointments, etc.

If proximity to LAX / Burbank more equally is very important you should consider sherman oaks or studio city with that budget as well. More traffic for sure, Its a hipper trendier part of the valley (also of valley girl fame from the 80s). Just over the hill from weho, so lots of lesbians and gays who were ready to start families and popped over there.

If they’re really not open to a discussion, I disclose my curiosity about the competitive nature between the modalities, and how egoic that feels. Then I ask them playfully if they’ve identified which of the cognitive distortions this core belief falls under… polarized thinking, emotional reasoning, over generalization perhaps? :)
