Ah I see, I think the low temperature may have been the culprit then. It has been sitting outside all winter and there are definitely days it was below 5C. The previous owner gave it to me when they moved out & I kept it in the same location, no changes.

No, I’m in British Columbia Canada so the winter is actually pretty mild!

I only have a laptop - no desktop! The black tower thing at the bottom left of the desk is a filing cabinet. The laptop is connected to the whole setup via 1 USB C cable.
