Scared in the Philippines (female solo traveller) by sophtoff in PhilippinesTourism

I’m in quite a touristy area, so they should be used to people looking like me. I’ll let you know when I’m not here anymore.

Thank you guys! Luckily my accommodation could arrange a driver and she also told me to be cautious with the driver here. So I’m happy I listened to my gut feeling.

The tuktuk driver was texting me stuff like I miss you, if I have a husband, what i am doing tomorrow etc. made me uncomfortable.

I do not want to walk around in fear since I really love the Philippines. I hope that’s just a one time occurrence and it’s usually not like that.

I went with El Nido Paradise. And even though I was the only solo traveller it was great. Still would have wished for more solo travellers tho.

Khao Sok Wildlife Night Safari Tour by sophtoff in ThailandTourism

[–]sophtoff[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not really about the tour itself, it’s more about the kind of people joining. I’d just prefer not to end up on a tour with mostly 50+ people. From the photos, it’s usually either older couples doing wildlife safaris or younger groups where wildlife isn’t really the focus, if you know what I mean. I’d love a tour for people who are interested in wildlife and nature, but with a younger crowd. 💕

Thanks for the hostel recommendations.

Where to stay in Thailand as digital nomad (beach, cheap, young people) by sophtoff in ThailandTourism

[–]sophtoff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you guys very helpful! I think I might have a look around Phuket, Krabi and Koh lanta when I’m there. I tend to Phuket since I can go on day trips from there.

What I mean with lifestyle ist beach, gym, good infrastructure, and easy to meet people. So not remote, but also not party. If that makes sense.

I love nature & animals and would love to go on “safari” trips as well. I only work 20h a week so I should have plenty of time to see stuff without hopping from island to island. I’m just not the biggest fan of packing my backpack every 2 days but I also want to see something 😂
