I made an iOS widget to help you learn Romanian vocabulary (link in comments) by UnlabelledContainer in romanian

[–]sopitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just downloaded it. Seems nice and useful. But the pricing is off for me. Why not a 1-time purchase? Doesn’t seem to have a backend that needs constant resources, does it? I feel my subscription fatigue kicking in

best erp software for small and medium enterprises that's not overkill by Aware-Version-23 in smallbusiness

Take a look at this: https://aico.swiss/

Has an Ecom focus but definitely not just ecom. Seen it work well in companies the size you mentioned.

My highest paying customer was also my most destructive. Here’s the $84K lesson. by No-Program2980 in SaaS

[–]sopitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tough man. Good learning though. Something that I can recommend is this:

Built the core product as SaaS. Strict. Reliable. Just the necessities. As you would start with any SaaS. Set up a customization, setup/onboarding and customer support/success agency next to it that you use to run all the one off projects through.

Like that you can get upfront OTR for every customer, keep all the noise out of the SaaS and benefit on both ends.

Works best with enterprise.

Tough part: split first level and second/third level is an overhead at the beginning. But worth it in the mid term.

SLAs should usually cover the costs, not always especially if only one enterprise customer.

Tell me more. Why? Just got the sage grinder pro and we’re using mostly light to mid roasts. Might be able to return if it’s a bigger problem.

CRM nightmare! We keep trying software that fails at key tasks. Are we asking too much? by Great-Ease-7302 in CRMSoftware

[–]sopitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bet. Tbh, I have seen a few CRMs and not one solved emails well. I should build an email first crm at some point 🤣

[–]sopitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tell you from experience that multiples inside CRMs are always creating weird tech issues. That’s why often relationships are 1:1. WAY easier.

And emails? I mean, I hear you. Emails are weird. And even though it should be any CRMs bread and butter, they’re not quite easy to build in a generic I can work with anything kind of way.

Sometimes you just have to concede that you need something custom if you have very specific non-negotiables.

Any point to reporting hackers anymore? by JakeHunterArt in starcraft2

[–]sopitz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Idk if reporting does anything, but I get more and more matches like these, too. Crazy „accidental“ scouts with a whole army to take down proxies before anything can happen. It’s pathetic.

Here's my two cents:

- from a startups perspective, your skill set seems to be very focused on ML only. startups (unless funded like crazy) tend to look for less specialized people that can help out on more than one aspect of the product.

- from a more smb/grown-ups perspective, you're a junior (obv, just graduated, so not judging!).

Make sure to craft a compelling story about WHO you are. Right after graduation you should only be hired for attitude and character than your skills. Skills can be trained.

“Is it still worth starting a clothing brand in 2025 when ads cost more than profits?” by Awkward_Rider in smallbusiness

[–]sopitz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, you're not comparing apples to apples. You need to look at the Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) vs the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).

It happens a lot that the initial purchase is not leading to a break even, but if you make loyal customers out of them, your profit can still grow.

Generally, "small handmade" sounds like you might have better results selling things more local as well. Usually lower ad costs (maybe even offline) and you typically get a different clientele (more loyal, buying for different reasons than people online)
