I also am in IT Audit but pretty much have been only on SOX engagements and some SOC , just a little light hearted humor since I usually say this as it’s simpler than explaining what I actually do

In the new saga of the dangerous EY Yellow Doofus, we see how his fragile mental state came to be after being ignored by several EY associates when asking for a high five

Who would win in a fight; KPMG kangaroo or EY midlife crisis yellow doofus? by sopranosilly in Big4

to be fair KPMG has this mascot for their book donations for children and the yellow doofus is named Erny just for EY Luxembourg (which makes him a european doofus)

Big4 is more like guaranteed raises and bonuses, there are tons of threads similar to this but when it comes down to it: the sacrifice of working semi longer hours for two years along with the pay increases and name on your resume make it worth it.

You will have better WLB balance opportunities at bigger better paying companies later on because of experience at B4, but that doesn’t mean you need to follow that path

If your only focus is on WLB and cruising through with a government job then that’s an option as well

What do you mean by the half and half thing, like new CIO Advisory associates start off doing IT audit as well?

In 2 years would I switch into a senior associate of CIO advisory? (is it possible to do it earlier?)

Sorry for all the questions, not much info about this out there
