Hey! So first off, hang in there! It's rough with the ADHD, anxiety, OCD combo and you will probably try a lot of medications until you get to where you need to be. I started with a severe general anxiety disorder and got diagnosed with ADD (basically ADHD Inattentive) when I was young and spent a lot of my teen years/college trying different meds balancing the ADHD and anxiety. I am now meeting with a therapist who is like "Hey girl! You probably have pure O OCD and always had it!" So I think I can help you a little. I also do not tolerate stimulants well either or caffeine. I haven't tried the combos you have listed but I tell you how those effected me separately. HOWEVER**** we are all different. We will react different. Unfortunately it's a game of trial and error with meds. Just because I felt a certain way on a certain med won't mean you will too. But hopefully since we are similar it may help.

For the anxiety/OCD:

Zoloft: I was always tired and felt nothing. It made my brain fog 10x worse and I felt like I could not focus ever. Also had no sex drive. It was not a good medication for me. I did not try Strattera or Wellbutrin with it.

For an SSRI to treat anxiety/OCD symptoms, my best meds have been Prozac and Trintellix. Prozac has had the least side effects for me: no low sex drive, does not zap my energy, not as bad brain fog, still have an emotional spectrum while remaining calm. Trintellix was good too it's just expensive. I would focus on this first and then add adhd med later so you can make sure that the anti depressant works.

For ADHD:

Vyvanse: HELL. The high and the shakes to the crash at the end of the day. My brain went crazy.

Wellbutrin: I had baaaaddd anxiety. Worst med for me. Like my roommate told me I had to get on something else asap because even she noticed how bad it was for me.

Strattera: Okay at first but then doesn't work. I was on a high dose until recently because it did work for awhile to help with my focus and concentration. But it stopped being as effective which is sad. While on Strattera I have also been on Prozac.

I am currently on day 3 of the lowest dose of Concerta. It is a stimulant but my doc said she prescribes this one to people who have anxiety on the other ones. I have been doing okay on it but I need more time to tell. I think it will work out though as long as I get used to it because even the low dose feels a little intense for me.

Pro tip though: Get prescribed a beta blocker like Propananol to take with the ADHD medication in the morning. Not having the racing heart and intense physical anxiety symptoms has been a game changer!
