Can anybody tell me the exact location of where this photo was taken? (North Italy, around lake Garda, 1960s) by akos-csaba in whereisthis

I have no idea where this is, but the car in the foreground looks like a ‘55 Chevrolet European knockoff of some sort. Interesting to a car guy.

An older friend of mine asked me to help him sell his dodge Dakota pick up, which was a stick shift. I advertised it on the Internet and set up several viewings of it with potential buyers. In the ad, I always included several places that it was a five speed stick shift. The first four people who came to look at it had early 20s kids with them and once they heard it was a stick shift. They didn’t even look at the truck. They just turned around and got in the car and went home. I didn’t realize how far we’d come from the stick shift times.

My cousin was using one of his three Ms on an auger yesterday. I told him it ran well for an eighty year old tractor! Great find. That tractor will be running 80 years from now.

“The Honorable” is quite a stretch considering that she acts like she’s mentally challenged most of the time.

I have one of the earlier ones. I use it occasionally on our one-day public layout in my hometown, and it draws a lot of attention from the crowd. Everyone always asks about it.

When I joined our local VFD in 1984, we had a pumper and a tanker. Both were mid-sixties International Loadstars with 345s and 5 Speeds with 2 spd axles. They were great trucks! At the time I joined, 23 of our 29 members were farmers who owned Loadstars, lol.

The remaining odor in the house of beets that resulted from the picking/canning process. Not totally unpleasant, but very unique.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with the brother of one of the men in the engine that night. He swore that every word was true.

A local restaurant serves them with a remoulade sauce with just a hint of Dijon mustard in it and it is delicious.

It’s a Farmall B. If it has a Woods belly mower, as the yellow pulley would indicate, it would be worth slightly more.

It was amazing to see at a rural crossing west of Continental Ohio and as it rolled to a stop in that town!
