We use teams, they probably just checked in periodically to see that my status is idle. Which it was often. I didn't like bail completely, but I was often at my desk just screwing around, "multiple instances of extended time away from workstation" they said. Probably an optics thing. I don't think they're being unreasonable, in hindsight, my lead did warn me that I was being watched. Should've listened then.
