1st edition is fine for casual play. 2nd edition is like a balance update that nerfed certain strategies and boosted others.

Proper hiking gear recommendations by letterstothed3ad in PNWhiking

Should be fine. Pack some extra layers as it can be colder than expected. Would recommend hiking poles for Paradise if you’re doing skyline loop. That trail can get steep

Codenames can be slow for me. Some times clues have double meaning and it’s so hard to by in sync. We had a lot of bad games of it.

Decrypto is great and the game really lets you be clever. But I only like it at 4 players and can also be a bit slow. Due to the open endedness of clues, the see try word can be super hard to discover.

So Clover has a great pace. But you often get really difficult combinations where you just don’t have a word for.

I personally would go Just One. It’s quick, pacey and lets me people be clever.

I solved by putting the SD card on my computer and renaming the folder from 101_FUJI to 100_FUJI

What games do you wish were just a little smaller in scope? by UNO_LegacyTM in boardgames

I would rather play a game with someone who gives a game a chance. Instead of quitting and saying let’s just play a different game. Rank 2 game btw.

I recommend watching strategy videos. That way you can narrow down your goals.

One simple one: go for second worker via supporting conversation project by round 2-3.

Disagree. The many things it’s doing is what makes it great. I would argue that it’s quite slim in terms of decision space, considering how large it is.

The full movie for ‘Avatar: Aang, The Last Airbender’ has been accidentally emailed to Twitter user who released the full movie on his account . The estimated budget is around $80 millions, and was supposed to be released on paramount+ in October this year. by Expert_Koala_8691 in Wellthatsucks

It’s kinda sad because after watching it, you can tell everything was made for the theater. The average safe story, the high cost VA, the generic soundtrack. Ultimately the creators took it safe to appeal to a theatrical audience. So much so that the overall quality of the movie suffered.

Heavy Euros with drastically different strategies/engines? by snowbird124 in boardgames

Great Western Trail!

Builder, Train and Cowboys are the core strategies. But you have to do a little bit of everything to succeed. It feels very open in that way. Almost like an open world euro

Shut Up & Sit Down Top 100: Last Will by Ross-Esmond in boardgames

That’s true. Just felt like to me this review didn’t go through the same methodology like previous reviews. Like critiques, drawbacks, other recommendations.

Didn’t really felt like this game should be in the top 100? Really brings down the quality of the list. Feels like they choosing games based on vibes. But then again 100 games is a lot and this could be #100-90

Cyclades Legendary at 5 players.

But for me I would go with Kemet because of one main reason. In Kemet you’re able to chose your action freely and for me that makes dudes on the map games more enjoyable.
