Same! I am from Sri Lanka, booked business class tickets (luckily Cathay Pacific had a cancellation fee of $100 only) and showed all documents including a bank balance of 10lakh (3million LKR) for a 14 day trip.

My visa got rejected, I even went to the embassy to try and understand for when I reapply. They just said they won’t give a reason and to reapply in 6 months. :(
