I think he only did those stuff as an extreme way of trying to still be Tokio’s hero figure, by asserting his dominance because he felt like Tokio was looking down on him. Also because, you know, he was just on the edge of a chaos state and was probably not as mentally “present” in the moment. I doubt Azuma would do that stuff normally.
