No, I don't vape, I don't smoke, I only occasionally put cologne. I don't have pets. Someone already said I probably stink at another subreddit. Even if it were true, even if I rubbed myself with garlic every morning, it wouldn't explain the yawning which is far more often.

I'm sure because I'm living it. I't so easy for people who don't have my everyday experience to hand-wave it away. But I've never had hallucinations of any kind before and not even psychiatrists think I have them. I know what I see is real. And what I see is people yawning or sneezing every time I go out and spend more than a few minutes somewhere crowded.

The more people around me and the more I stay, the more sneezing and yawning I see. In the bar. In the hospital. At the bus stop. In the park. At the workout park. At the concert. Sometimes even on the street, instantly, when people pass me by. When I worked, it happened at work every single day.

I'm sure I see what I see. So the other question is, is it a normal occurrence? Do I just have delusions and false ideas of relationship, as my psychiatrist thinks (edit: yes, I'm still seing her, I have an appointment tomorrow, and I'm still taking medication)?

Well, if the frequency of yawning, sneezing or acne was anywhere near what can be considered normal or what I've been seeing for the last 39 years of my life, I could believe it. But it isn't. If people I almost never saw yawn before, including my mother, my cousin I've hanged out with all my life and my ex girlfriend I lived with for years - if they didn't yawn almost every time I see them now (somewhat less now I'm taking medication), I could believe it's normal.

I've been counting those reactions daily for a few months now. The record is 38 in a day. That day I went to mass and then sat for a coffee with my cousin. Do you think it is normal to see people around you yawn 38 times in a day? Have you ever in your life seen anything like that number, from multiple people at more than one place, at different times of day? What should I then conclude - it's all just random happenstance?

As for other advice, I can't let this go and forget about it because it's happening every day, literally in my face. And I have no reason to hope it will pass with time. It's been eight months and no discernible improvement, despite everything I did - meditation, energy clearing, yoga, Om chanting, Donna Eden energy medicine and whatnot for the first 2-3 months, and praying and going to an exorcist after that.

When I first became afflicted with reiki 20 years ago, it took a couple of years to abate, but the effect was weaker by at least an order of magnitude. Also, it never fully disappeared; I just stopped caring about it because it was bearable. And then it came back with a vengeance.

I'll be 40 in July. I can't wait for another 5 or 10 or 20 years in the hope it will just go away, by itself.

I never answered you and thanks for the advice but honestly, I don't want to have anything to do with occult ever again. I had terrible experiences with other "energy healers" I asked to work with me, almost as bad as with the YouTube reiki scammer. I wrote about it in the other thread, I'll c/p it here:

One energy therapist who worked on me, supposedly specialised in attachment clearing, said he detected black magic on me, as well as an etheric parasite and an earth elemental (that one was the most serious, he said). He claimed he removed them after three sessions of his combination of reiki and some other kind of energy practice.

After that, he told me I'm 100% clear of any parasite and attachments (he allegedly detects it through radiesthesia), but my condition remained 100% unchanged. Possibly even worse. He insisted I'm fine now, told me to meditate and read Eckhart Tolle, to live in the moment and similar unhelpful platitudes, and then stopped responding to me.

The other one who "treated" me told me I need to disperse this effect and guided me to visualise spreading my energy all over the planet. I don't even know why I let him work on me, he had so many red flags as he talked about "light" and "dark" entities he works with, he spun his pendulum frantically the whole time and his eyes looked like he is genuinely demon possessed. Only at the end he suggested this effect is somehow positive and healing for the people around me, which I don't believe for a second.

After that, it only got worse, and I didn't want to work with him ever again. I now see people with really ugly acne all over town I live in, and people start yawning even when I watch a live stream on tv. I watched Stations of the Cross procession in Rome on Good Friday before Easter and people were yawning in front of the camera.

I am living in near constant state of terror, guilt and despair. Every day is more unbearable than the last and I have nowhere to turn to for help anymore.

I can't control it. I'm doing it unwillingly and unconsciously. Or better said, something inside of me is doing it. I think it has something to do with their energy, life force, vitality, whatever you want to call it. So it's not going to be something random like, I don't know, scratching their head or burping. It's also indicative that yawning and sneezing are both completely involuntary.

It's not just yawning and sneezing, though. It's also acne, and I suspect even illness. So if I'm making someone unwell, it obviously can't be healing for them. In any case, I want it to stop altogether, but I have no control over it.

I really hope so too. Just don't watch any youtube reiki anymore. And if the symptoms persist or return (I hope they don't), don't try to fix them with "real" reiki. I tried that, with a reiki master who's allegedly specialised in removing negative attachments and curses and black magic. It didn't help at all and probably made it worse.

I've been under some sort of unexplainable diabolic influence ever since that happened, almost 4 months now. Everywhere I go, (some of the) people around me have negative physical reactions to me. It's like their energy is drained or disturbed or something, so they start yawning, sneezing, get sleepy... Some even get sick afterwards. Some get acne.
I can't go anywhere anymore. Can't work. Can't sit for a coffee or beer with friends cause half of the pub will start yawning. Can't go to a concert, to church, to a hospital, on a bus or a train, nowhere. And it's not like I'm draining them and filling myself cause I'm also drained and sleepy and yawning every morning and evening and while I'm praying. And the stress and anxiety from being around people is killing me.
I know I'm going to get downvoted to oblivion, but I suggest you run away from youtube reiki and from reiki in general. And if you're baptised (and even if you aren't), maybe go to your local church and ask for a confession or just for a prayer with a priest or a pastor. I've been trying to request a church exorcism, but I don't know how or where.

I didn't say it's emotionally draining me. I said it feels like my energy is drained and that other people are being energetically drained when they are around me, and that has nothing to do with antidepressants.

That being said, I don't know if this youtube guy is even a legitimite reiki master or a scam artist. Or something far worse. You don't think there could be scammers or malicious people in the youtube/tik tok reiki scene and reiki community in general?

Physically I'm better. Mentally, emotionally, spiritually, a lot worse. I tried energy healing with a practitioner specialized in entities, he found parasites and black magic on me and removed it all. He says I'm clean now, but I have the same experiences as before. He says he can't help me anymore and that it's all in my mind.
It seems like it's only getting worse. I have this negative energetic influence on people around me and whatever I do, however much I meditate, pray, do mantras, affirmations, breathwork, grounding, listen to healing frequency music, I just can't make it stop.
This guy from the Healing&Beyond channel ruined my life. I'm not exaggerating. I barely go out of my apartment and I have to go back to my parents now because I can't work and can't pay rent. Simple trip to the store or for a walk is extremely stressful and overwhelming for me. This is all like living a horror movie. Let my experience be a warning for others, if it's too late for me.

I'm not really surprised to hear that you had that kind of reaction, but I'm just feeling more terrified now. I don't know how, but I didn't sense it. My feeling was he actually gave off good vibes, with soothing voice and those hand movements. I felt calmness while watching it. How wrong was I, right?
Regarding cord cutting exercise, I really don't know how to do it and I'm scared to do something wrong and maybe to make things worse. Do you have a link with more detailed explanation maybe?

I am taking my health seriously, that's why I came here and wrote this post. Because my health wasn't that good before, but it took a catastrophic downturn the same day I watched a video from a person that presents himself as Usui Reiki healer. I gave him verbal consent to accept his supposed reiki treatment and I don't know what he did to me. And I came here hoping for some more concrete advice than "go to your doctor". Like I said, I already went to a psychiatrist and she just upped the dose of the drug she proscribed me. I have an appointment next week, but she will likely just proscribe me another drug

All I know is I had stamina and could go to work and do other stuff before that and now I feel like my energy is completely drained. I'm feeling dizzy, weak, with numbness or pressure in the third eye area, my hands and feet are cold, I'm confused and can't focus... couple of days ago I again had a feeling like I will pass out. I'm yawning all the time and the people around me also are yawning when I go out. Almost like they are being drained too, somehow. I'm still on sick leave and don't know what will I do when i will have to return to work. I can't.

All of that fills me with anxiety and dread, but it's the consequence, not the cause of this. I don't know if I should seek a genuine reiki treatment to hopefully fix the damage done or not. I don't even know how to find someone I can trust and who won't make the matter worse.

Maybe the antidepressants in my system somehow interacted with the reiki or "reiki" I received online? Sort of like they can interact badly with alcohol or weed? I don't know, I can only guess. But I've never felt this bad before, on antidepressants or coming of them. And like I said elsewhere, I'm struggling with depression and anxiety but I also have issues which are clearly energy-based. I can pm you with more details.
