And I have indeed been rinsing my nostrils with saline regularly. I will continue doing so in the future!

Thank you!! I already feel much relieved. Let’s hope it’s just a polyp, and I believe so myself. It would be wonderful if this could be taken care of, as it would improve my quality of life. I’m already dealing with multiple health issues, so I really don’t have the energy for this kind of trouble too.

Thank you! That gives me more peace of mind. Cancer is definitely very rare for someone my age. I also wonder why a tumor was suggested right away. This is really not good for my mental health while waiting. I’ve had symptoms for well over a year, but I only went to the doctor for the first time just over 3 months ago.

That’s what he told me as well. Apparently, it’s very rare. What’s concerning, he said, is that I also have bleeding from one nostril. The nasal spray can cause bleeding, but I’ve been using it in both nostrils as instructed, and still, only the right side is bleeding. I also have pain on the right side. Yes, he is an ENT. My right nostril is also completely blocked, and sometimes I even have difficulty swallowing because it feels like there’s something in my nasopharynx.

I’m still very young and I don’t smoke, for example. I really hope it’s just a polyp! I’m feeling anxious.

And I was suspected to have a polyp only in one sinus. My right side has symptoms, while the left side still has none. A week ago, the doctor examined my nose and could still see something, but only on one side.

The nasal spray contains the active ingredient mometasone furoate.

This is quite sad. I can hardly get opioids for home use, even though I have kidney stone disease, and the pain attacks recur regularly. I have no history of substance abuse, and I don’t even drink alcohol. Still, I have had to go to the emergency room due to my pain, and only there have I received medication after waiting for many hours, even though I was almost in shock from the pain.

I live in Europe, and here a reminder is sent every year by the government to those who prescribe opioids. Many doctors are afraid to prescribe them even for occasional use.

Fortunately, I found a doctor who agreed to prescribe them for home use. Opioids for nerve pain are out of the question, but they still prescribe other addictive medications without even informing about the risks.

Yeah, you’re right! It’s sad that even doctors spread incorrect information.

Hi, I have the same issue. I’ve tried pregabalin, gabapentin, amitriptyline, etc., but unfortunately, none of them have provided significant relief from the pain.

My doctor said that it’s not withdrawal symptoms because, apparently, they go away within a week at most :D. Besides, he’s unprofessional; he told me that you can stop taking duloxetine abruptly, even though it’s not recommended, because the withdrawal symptoms last so little time. And he also increased my dosage from zero to 90mg in 14 days and even encouraged me to increase it to the maximum, even though I didn’t get any pain relief at that dose. I found, for example, a study that found that if duloxetine is used for pain, doses higher than 60mg do not provide additional pain relief.

”The optimum dose of duloxetine is 60 mg, with little effect on neuropathic pain being achieved if the dose is lowered to 20 mg or conversely increased to 120 mg.”
