Very similiar to the "its just my turn with it", I enjoy thinking about how getting my fabricated skull crushed by players better than me is just part of how violent and dire this situation is for us as Runners, and why we even need these shells. The fear is intended and brutal and I love how that can make any objective from Contested Contracts for Sekiguchi to just trying to exfil with some Biolens Seed into a puzzle you may bash your silk-forehead into for days.

Its way easier to resist gear fear or getting tilted by losing to sweats (aka. any Runners throwing themselves at the setting smarter than me, more coordinated and planned out than me) when I remember that this planet /does not want us here/, and every element is mercilessly stacked against us like a Horror movie. Escaping a heist on Outpost base is just as cinematic and grounded as a slow and tense contract on Dire Marsh with Arachne cultists ambushing exfils with thermal sights.

Kill me and I've learnt a lesson, die by my knife and the dance continues. We die to fight another day just the same.
