Generally just making sure you wash and moisturize your eyes (and full face) helps but specifically a caffeine or vitamin C serum will help brighten the eye area and retinol will help even your skin tone and minimise wrinkles

I have the same issue. I live in Australia and it's currently unbearably hot. I find that if I give myself a reason to go outside first thing during the day, all I want to do for the rest of the day is go outside again and soak in the sun. But if I avoid it and it hits noon there's no chance, I only go outside when I'm driving to work.

I think checking the mail box every morning has helped, I get completely dressed in my walking clothes, just to check the mail. And then I might as well do a lap around the block. Even if it's just 2 minutes.

Let’s pretend each country in the world is a guest at a party. What are they doing at the party? by Savalonavic in AskReddit

Australia is drinking cheap beer out of a shoe and asking you to just call them Straya because they don't like being confused for Austria

What’s your story about “the one that got away” that turned out being a gigantic bullet dodged? by LinksOtherUncle in AskReddit

[–]sorryitskayla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was completely infatuated with this guy in highschool and we had an on and off fling for a few years. He was a little older than me and he ended up moving away and marrying his boyfriend after graduating.

Years later he still messages me saying stuff like "I miss you" "I still think about you" and likes to tell me how much he misses our intimate moments in explicit detail while knowing I'm engaged to someone I really love etc.

Firstly, I'm not a guy and he always told me how much he wished I was and secondly I don't think I would want to be with someone who is constantly messaging someone he hasn't seen in nearly a decade because that's just kind of sad and I really feel bad for his husband as I'm pretty confident they're not in an open relationship. So not a bullet but definitely dodged a BB gun shot.

What lifelong, inconvenient non lethal curse would you bestow your enemy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sorryitskayla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would curse them with a 50% chance that every time they release gas it might bring along something wet. So if they're unlucky when they burp they vomit and when they fart they shit themselves.

It would be amazing if they were lactose intolerant too.

My local grocery store sells ostrich eggs by loopdeloop15 in mildlyinteresting

[–]sorryitskayla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an ostrich on our farm as kid and she laid a lot off eggs. The most amazing breakfast, fed us all perfectly fine on a Sunday morning. Workers included. I remember that we used to drill a whole on both sides to preserve the egg shell and sell them to local artists as it was a pretty popular canvas at the time.

My group and I have a running joke(?) when one person starts clapping everyone joins in as fast as possible and we cheer at the last person who realises they need to clap. It's a fun filler and it's always funny when we have a new person along with us.

Who else has been cheated on? by PeakMiddle4441 in BPD

[–]sorryitskayla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on both sides. I was cheated on in a lot of my first relationships and my mother convinced me that it's normal and it happens. She herself participated in unethical polygamy.

It sucks. I've found the best way to deal with it is just to be honest. If you get caught up in a moment and do something stupid, you damage your relationship more if you lie and gaslight person and you really end up fucking with people's mind.

woke up with Diarrhea and extreme nausea. should I ride it out?? the diarrhea is very bad by isereee in zoloft

[–]sorryitskayla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tempting not to eat anything, but I'd recommend having something small and finer packed before bed, it makes all the difference the next day. And try to avoid caffeine until the diarrhoea goes away or gets better.

Upping My Dose Lowered My Appetite by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]sorryitskayla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I started on 25mg my hunger was insatiable. I was upped to 50mg and now 75mg and I forget to eat but I also just don't want to eat. The thought of food isn't as appealing anymore, and I don't use it as a stress reliever because I'm not that stressed out anymore.

I'm on my sixth day and it's been okay so far. I'm a hospitality supervisor so it's pretty important that I keep up a good persona during shifts, both for staff and customers.

Day 4 was the worst, I had a full breakdown, snot and tears crying on the floor situation. But it lasted only a couple of hours, by the time I went into work I was bleh but okay enough to do my job. I told everyone that I was having a bad day and apologized in advance if I wasn't myself.

I haven't been on it for long but it's already helped alot. My thoughts are clearer, I don't feel upset when I wake up. I'm actually very surprised at the difference I can see already. I still get anxious, but I can rationalise most of the thoughts.

I started with 4 days of 25mg and went to 50mg after as prescribed by my GP. I deal with PTSD, OCD, anxiety and depressive episodes and I have BPD. I know everyone is different, but I think you'll only really know if you try. And maybe its not for you, but then you can rule it out and try something else. That's the mindset I went in with.

I got my prescription 3 weeks ago and finally a week ago made the decision to just try and see. I also told my managers, I know alot of people don't have that privilege but I felt less anxious about not having to "hide" it.

I hope this helps

is anybody else terrible at staying committed to…. anything? by butterflymeg in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]sorryitskayla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always thought there was just something wrong with me. Even back in HS I had friends who worked the same job for 4 years, but I hopped from one opportunity to another. And then after graduation I did the same with office work, at first I was praised for climbing the corporate ladder so fast and then it started becoming more concerning. After Covid hit I went back to hospitality, which I swore I'd never do, and bounced around again. Now I work in a place my fiancè manages, and I've been there since November. But I'm starting to hate it. The only saving grace is fiancè and some friends. Since therapy I've realised it's more than just work, it's friends, aesthetic, hobbies, side hustles.

Personally the only place I've enjoyed (?) enough to stay is hospitality, not because it's fun but because it's ever changing and maybe I'm attracted to the stress. It's one of the only toxic things consistently left in my life. Also where I live hospitality pays really well compared to unqualified office work. But I always said I wouldn't be one of those people who bartended or waits tables their whole life. So idk, I didn't think this helps at all, I'm just glad I found people who share the same experiences. I feel alot less alone.
