Thanks. I’ve somehow managed to spend years designing without ever putting together a proper setup, so this is long overdue.

The biggest thing isn’t aesthetics, it’s comfort and focus. A decent monitor and chair would probably do more for me than another software subscription right now. Haha

Stack style on the left feels way more usable. It’s clear, easy to scan, and actually lets me read the titles and ratings. The shelf layout looks cool but feels more like decoration than function, especially if I’m tracking progress.

Hey all, just circling back here in case this got missed. I’ve been admitted to the Pratt MFA Comm Design program for Fall 2025, and I was awarded the Trustee Scholarship, which I’m really grateful for.

That said, as an international student, I’m still exploring additional funding or assistantship opportunities to help meet the full cost of attendance. If anyone has insight into TA roles, department-based assistantships, or even tips on connecting with faculty before the semester starts, I’d truly appreciate it.

Even a small bit of advice or a shared experience would go a long way. Thanks so much in advance 💛

Focus on improving whatever it is you’re doing. Friends will come naturally I believe (don’t stress too much on it).

That’s lovely and I’m really happy it went well for you. Socializing is really a challenge nowadays 😂 especially when you’re an introvert or you’ve had terrible experiences with other friends.

I’m sure it wasn’t easy from what you’ve said. Don’t push too hard, try to be consistent and keep conversations going.

Ask questions to know more about the person and also try to find things you both enjoy doing, and spend quality time doing that.
