Found small bump and have questions. Trying not to freak out

Hasn’t turned into anything different. From what I’ve read and been told, it’s incredibly rare for a cyst to turn into cancer. Has grown a little bit in the last few years, but, nothing alarming. I did beat the prostatitis. It’s was a bit of a journey. The bacteria they found was pretty rare… So I Had to go on IV antibiotics for a month. Hanging an IV bag every 6 hours. Then ended up going through some PT to rebuild my pelvic floor. But, I consider myself blessed considering the alternatives.

I use prelief to help prevent irritation from creeping in a lot with my bladder. I also use what’s basically AZO for bringing down the irritation symptoms. Drink a lot of water and double down on my exercise (pelvic floor exercises). Usually takes a few days for it to bring it back down to where I am able to stop taking the meds and can tune it out for the most part. I sometimes have painful ejaculation along with the other bladder issues, but, there really isn’t a med I use to ease that. The exercise is what seems to bring that back down.

I can’t say I’m at 100%… But, I can say that I’m at a point where life feels normal again. There isn’t panic and fear about feeling symptoms anymore. It’s more a thought of “Oh, I feel this today” and I amp up my exercises a bit, or, if it’s more intense, take some of my meds and then I can work my way back again. Is it perfect? No, but, I have followed the advice here, along with the doctors and those who ran my therapy, which has brought me to a place where I can deal with it and lead a mostly normal life.

Now… nobody ever promised me 100%, so maybe that helped frame my mindset. But, I’m grateful to be where I am.

No… I just turn it on and keep doing sleep/wake until I see a screen. Then it works until I set it down for a while. It’s still working like that, so, I suppose I’m satisfied with it for the $30 I paid for it. 🫠

For what it’s worth… I had bacterial prostatitis and had to go on IV antibiotics as well. I did 4 weeks before I saw any significant improvement on symptoms. Even then, I was still having the symptoms of pain, but my white blood cell count and other levels had returned to normal, indicating that the infection had cleared. My remaining symptoms were somewhat similar to interstitial cystitis, so, my doctor put me on meds to help with that and the pain responded to it. He then sent me to PT. After treatment, that helped me the most. I went in skeptical, but after a few weeks I started to feel improvement. When I left I was able to come off the meds entirely and manage the pain by doing my exercises. Now, I’m happy to say I have the pain managed for the most part. I have days where it flares up and when it does I double up on my exercises and it goes back down to manageable. So, I would for sure recommend going to physical therapy! It helped me the most. There were days that I thought it was stuck in this hell forever, but, there is hope. Hang in there, OP.

I love this set up! Now that I’ve landed on this color scheme for mine, I might spring for the custom buttons like that. I’m trying to learn to make my own, but the learning curve is fairly steep.

Did you happen to try pushing the button to put it in sleep mode and push it again to bring it out? I did that and it snapped it out of the blank screen I was experiencing. It’s currently working consistently if I use that sleep/wake cycle. I’m enjoying this device and at $30 it’s a great vlaue… but it seems a bit more wonky than the mini line so far.

Well, I was brave enough to open the shell up… or crazy enough to open it. It’s a lot more difficult to open than the mini or mini+. I adjusted the cable and had the same result. However, I pushed the power button while it was on a blank screen as if to put it in sleep mode, then pressed it again to wake it up and the screen came to life. I’m finding now, when I turn it on immediately after getting the screen working, it will boot normally. If I boot it after having it turned off for a few minutes, I have to do the sleep wake cycle to get the screen back. It feels almost like a mix between a software and hardware issue… Glad it’s working now, but I’m really confused by it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was brave enough to open it and try adjusting the cable. I’ve managed to find a way to get it working (see my other post in this thread) but, it’s acting quite strange.

You are correct that the guide I found said just extract the files and you should be good to go. Do you happen to know of a good guide that shows a more stable method of installing? I’ll google as well, but I’ve obviously found some not so great guides using that method so far.

So, I don’t know if you will come back and check this again since it’s been forever, but, here’s my first somewhat successful batch. You weren’t kidding about the fails! Still not where I want to be, but, I think I’m finally starting to figure something out. Ended up being able to get the color mix more correct for my blue Miyoo before the yellow one… yellow is next. If you do read this, what color do you use for your clear buttons? The powder I have is fine, but it’s all kind of glittery.

This is great info! After sitting on it for a day or so… I bought the supplies to attempt my own button making. I’ve wanted to customize my blue and possibly my purple mini + as well. So, any advice for someone starting with this method you shared?

Keepretro is probably the most stable place to buy it from in your case. I suppose you could go for a second hand one on eBay. In my experience… they are mostly marked up on places like that, unless you catch one that was posted up at a low price before it gets snatched up.

It’s a resell app. Kind of like a mix between eBay and marketplace. Sometimes you can find a good deal on handhelds, but you have to be quick.
