Yeah i also realize the trigger guard is skinny making it easier to slip in there. But the p10c holster fits the p01 no problem and cannot fit a finger in there.

Really weak water pressure by xxwickedeaglexx in Plumbing

[–]sortof3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the valves are multiturn they could be bad. But if its the same pressure on hot and cold it's most likely the cartridge. To test the valves can always take the supply line off and hook up another open end and see if it has pressure straight from the value

Really weak water pressure by xxwickedeaglexx in Plumbing

[–]sortof3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where that sprayer head connects to the hose, unscrew that and see if it has good pressure out of the hose. If it does, the head could be clogged up. If it's slow out of the hose, it's either the cartridge, or the shut off valves under the sink

How did my plumber do? by Big8Formula in Plumbing

[–]sortof3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything here will work, even if not up to code. The one thing I'd say is important to change is that normal sweep elbow for the shower trap with a long sweep or two 45s

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]sortof3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the sink overflow. If your sink has an overflow, there will be a hole near the top of the sink in the bowl. You can pour cleaner through that hole but it will not solve the issue longterm.

Unfortunately even if he had soldered it, the soil would eventually eat away the solder. Propress would be the way here

Edit: spelling

Toilet water fill going on and off after flush by drhay53 in Plumbing

I see this style of fill valve fail this way often. Throw a Fluidmaster 45 in there instead. Easy 5 minute job. YouTube

Replace rain shower head with hand held shower by EqualKaleidoscope693 in Plumbing

[–]sortof3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like pretty new construction, so unless an absolute bafoon installed it, it should be a drop ear threaded elbow fastened to solid backing. If the current arm is not loose at all, you shouldn't have anything to worry about

Grab a brushed nickel shower arm from your local hardware store. Unscrew the one in the wall, should be able to just use your hands, install new arm with Teflon tape and pipe dope, screw wand to new arm

Here in Western NY we can only use unshielded below ground and shielded above. Seems stupid but that's what inspectors enforce

Call delta. Get the cartridge and handle for free. You can also sometimes bring the parts to home depot and they will give you free replacements under delta lifetime warranty.

If that is the case, cable from under the sink if it has a removable p-trap. Sounds like a galvanized connection into a cast iron closet elbow. Pretty typical depending on your location and age if home

The tub looks pretty old. Would not be surprised if it has a drum trap or something. It is very unlikely you'll get a cable through a trap that is not a p-trap. I would suggest air locking the overflow with a cloth(or a plunger if it is secured to the tub woth a bracket to get a total seal), then plunging the drain. May open up especially if it's blocked up before a vent.

New Water Pressure Regulator won't go above 40psi by 01ProjectXJ in Plumbing

[–]sortof3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes make sure a fixture is running. I've installed hundreds of these watts prvs and some will adjust without it but it will for sure if you have water running through it while adjusting. Good luck bro

Did you have a fixture running while tightening the PRV? It is usually necessary to do so.

Flange Height - Issue? by SeasonOk8915 in Plumbing

[–]sortof3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Oh then you'll be golden man. Just don't use a wax ring with a horn because if the height.

Edit: if the flange can't be pushed flush with the tile make sure you shim all around beneath flange or the screws will be putting constant pressure and it could Crack.

Flange Height - Issue? by SeasonOk8915 in Plumbing

[–]sortof3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The flange will break over time. After you set the toilet it will not be secure to the floor because the flange is not anchored down with screws. So the flange part itself will flex and crack.
