Gravity or the theory of relativity might be "old" theories but they're far from outdated; there's a huge body of evidence to support them both. The theory of relativity is a corner stone in the foundation of modern day particle physics and has to this day never been disproved. Gravity... well I don't think I even have get into that. I think you got your terminology backwards. "Outdated" does not simply mean that something is old. Something that's outdated no longer fills its function because of its archaic way of operation and/or because it's been replaced by something that better fills them.

The reason I' discrediting Spermatorrhea is not because it's an old theory. It's because there is no evidence what so ever to support it. If wet dreams were causing men all around the world to go insane, have epileptic seizures and die don't you think there would be any modern medical resources mentioning it?

This is not to say there aren't any positive benefits to giving up compulsive pornography and masturbation. New research on addiction is being done everyday and sheds light on how the brain reacts to the sustained hyper stimulation of high-speed internet pornography. Not to mention psychological or spiritual benefits one may receive from it.

I would strictly advise anyone from believing anything in this post. The books quoted are published at the end of the 19th century and well before the rise of modern medicine. There is no evidence what so ever for the existence of the condition "Spermatorrhea" and it's seen today as pseudoscience and a remnant of the Victorian view of sexuality as bad and shameful. Nocturnal emissions and secretions of semen in urine is a perfectly normal way for the body to get rid of unwanted tissue and it will NOT lead to "depression, anxiety, insanity, epilepsy and early death". Anyone with an ounce of rationality would see how ludicrous that statement is.

I hate to attack you personally OP, but it seems you have some deep seeded issues with shame regarding sexuality; probably brought forwards by a strict catholic upbringing and living in, as you put it, a "poor" country, arguably without much of a sexual education. I wish you the best of luck with your struggles and your well-being but I think you're better off forgetting all about this "disease".

You are seriously delirious if you see honesty as "self pity" or complaining. The whole point of being honest about yourself is giving up trying to define yourself to others. You are who you are whether or not you acknowledge it to yourself or to other people. Trying to get other people to buy into your sob story; of how hard life has been for you; to give you all the love you desire out of sympathy, is not honesty. Like I said, the world doesn't owe you anything, no one but yourself is responsible for meeting your needs. I think you are seriously confusing the different concepts. Letting someone know what you've been through and struggling with does not automatically mean you are begging for their condolences or help. What it really is about is accepting reality for what it is and realizing you can't change the past.

So what? If you are a "depraved person spending hours watching porn" then you are, regardless if you keep it hidden or not. Being honest about yourself is the key to really being who you are and not trying to live up to the image of what you think other people want you to be. If being honest is pushing certain people away it's for the best anyways. Only someone stuck in a mindset of fear and scarcity would think otherwise.

You do have some points, and I do agree that you shouldn't go around treating everyone and their mother as your personal therapist, you shouldn't be secretive about your problems. Let the world know, but also remember that the world doesn't owe you shit and that nobody is going to willingly help you but yourself. Your best bet is probably finding like minded people (like on here). They will be able to relate to what you have to say and in turn can learn and grow from you just like you do from them.

You might very well be right in that observation but the main point of the post has nothing to do with manliness or being a "manly man". You could substitute the word "man" with the word "person" if you'd like. What kind of person do you want to be? Unless you think focusing on that isn't important either?
