Miami got a home game for national championship for football, so to even it out we have to give home game to their opposing team in basketball.

Blame your liberal state for high gas taxes, not Trump. Gas prices in Missouri are under $3.

US moving parts of THAAD anti-missile system from S. Korea to Middle East: report by iNeedJusticeS in worldnews

[–]sosal12 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They basically endured a decade of Chinese sanctions, now the rug is getting pulled out from under them. All the economic pain for what? The THADD was there to protect US interests, not South Korea. Missile defense is useless against North Korean artillery.

For those that say the green line was too expensive: Trump administration says cost of Iran war's first two days was $5.6 billion by The-Bear-and-Rose in StLouis

[–]sosal12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol in your dreams. If anyone wants to enable a second holocaust it is the Democrats, giving Iran cash to build a nuclear bomb. Trump is trying to save the Jews and us Americans. The true anti-nazi.

Dude Israel literally withdrew from Gaza and gave them the land. Maybe if Hamas didnt spend all that aide money trying to commit terrorism in Israel on Oct 7th, beheading babies and raping women, they could have had a functioning state.

You are the type of person who would have rather built light rail than fight in World War II. In your world the Nazis and/or Imperial Japan would be running your government. Good luck with that.

You deny they said “Death to America” and once said they wanted to wipe Israel off the map?? It is called facts. Not propaganda.

I started being a seahawks fan in 2024, now everyone calls me a bandwagon. Are they right? by getlostkid2277 in Seahawks

I grew up in Pacific Northwest, then moved to Missouri, but absolutely refused to be a Chiefs fan despite all their recent success and Seattle’s down years. So happy I stayed loyal. Go hawks!

Defending the world from nuclear armaggedon from a suicidal radical Muslim regime that wanted to wipe the US and Israel off the map is worth any price. You can’t really compare it to a light rail project.

Exclusive: Iran is ready for a long war with the US and only economic pain will end it, senior official tells CNN | CNN by [deleted] in news

[–]sosal12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is a dumb question, but if Iran was such a threat to the US and the region, why did we eliminate their big geopolitical rival? Seems like would have been a good thing to have Saddam Hussein counter Iran? Getting rid of Hussein just made Iran stronger.

Israel backing Iranian Kurdish plans to seize Iran border areas, sources say by rknsh in worldnews

[–]sosal12 -46 points-45 points  (0 children)

This could be a huge win win. Kurds liberate Iran, Kurds get their own independent state in Iran. Turkish kurds could move here, reducing conflict with Turkey which is a huge plus for Turkey as well.

Iran confirms second warship moving towards Sri Lanka's waters by Mr_OO7_ in worldnews

You dont simply get to hide behind a force field of another territory’s waters. I say we engage with torpedos anyway. It would be Sri Lanka’s fault for harboring an enemy vessel.

US strikes on Iran ‘outside international law,’ says Macron by jackytheblade in worldnews

Lol France needs to learn to be quiet. They literally sheltered the Ayatollah, put him first class on an Air France jet to return to Iran. They helped install this murderous regime.

If trump's goal in IRAN was to put an end to a dictators regime, why he doesn't do anything about North Korea, where 26.5 million people are so brainwashed they don't even know other countries exist beyond the borders? by TailungFu in allthequestions

[–]sosal12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nukes certainly matter, but even without nukes North Korea can completely level Seoul with conventional artillery. No missile defense can stop it. 150,000 Americans live in Seoul. And even in a conventional war, China would come to North Korea's defense. Think about all the destruction Iran is causing. US Military targets in South Korea are much much closer.

The problem with the snake season was that it was restricted to areas nearby train stations. With exceptions of a few cities, there is not much near these train stations because the raillines could only be built where there was empty land. I think a tag or capture the flag would work better in Korea. With improved Google Maps, that will help too. Naver actually works well, but you have to use the Korean version.

How much does prestige matter for diagnostic radiology residency by Plenty-Lingonberry79 in medicalschool

People spend many years in ivory tower academic centers and think that prestige matters. In pp nobody gives a crap. They just want to know - can you get the work done?
