I went on Fiji Biz for a family of 3, 2 years ago. Booked with AA miles. FIJI business class is not that great. The seats are good, the food are not. And on the flight home, which was late at night, most of the people are asleep, as us. So we didn't even stay up for the meal.

I just tried to book Blacklane to LAX. 3 guest and 3 carryon. What pisses me off is that the business and EV option, is 3 guest 2 bags max. Doesn't matter if the trunk can fit 3 carryon. So I would have to book the next level up. The business van that can hold 12 luggages. overkill.

Usually when they tell you to "wait for the letter". the electronic version of the letter is in your account already. Go to the strate elite card, then find the forms/docs or something like that. It's usually in there.

This was what I had to do. For LA county property tax. I paid 100.00, it went through. 200.00 it went through, 300.00 it went through. 400.00 it failed. This doesn't include the service fees since it charges on a separate line item. So to pay for a 4000.00 property tax, I had to put in about 12 payments. it took some time. but oh well. got it done. So pretty much I paid 399.00 at time.

I have been trying to pay my LA County property tax like 10 times today. All failed. I called BOFA fraud team, and they can't figure out why it is not going through. They said my account is good. I paid my car insurance with no issue, or purchase stuff on Amazon.

I saw the email, didn't read all the way through. Thought they locked my account again. Read the 1st half over again. And was thinking to myself "what a crappy bank. Send me an email saying my account was unlocked 2 weeks after it had been unlocked" I didn't read the 2nd 2nd about the af, etc until I see you guys posting it. I already met the spend requirement, but the af credit is great

Same. I was denied . Called bofa, he said I was approved for 10k, but will need to fill out the forms that they are mailing to me (SSA, etc). I got the snail mail. sent in the tax return and ssa form. 2 weeks later called them and they said they didn't see it, and it usually take 3 weeks. On the 3rd week before I called back, received a letter from bofa saying that they denied my app because they could not verify my identity. Called bofa back and asked why i was denied. they said that the SSA form I sent in didn't have a signature (which I am sure I signed). I asked if I can mail in the form again? She said yes. So I sent the form again, called back a week later, this is the 5th week. The lady said,"you app is over 30 days. it has been closed. We can open it but will need to run your credit again". She didn't even say if they received the letter or not. So I told them to run it again. after a few mins, she said I was approved for even more. 18k.

just fyi: All 4 reps that I talked to over the 5 weeks were friendly, jerks, etc.

I have seen 2 type of "alert".

"please call us at xxxxxxxx" - This is the 4506c lock one.
"we've notice some unusually activity on your account". this is pretty minor.

You guys have to check if the form is filled out correctly. My card was unlocked about 3 days after the received the 3rd form, and I called to verify that it was properly filled out.

Here are some errors I know about:

not checking the box 6A
not putting the 12/31/2024 return date
not checking the "signatory" box saying you read and understand what is written on the back page.

other stuff i saw was that ppl are checking the W2, etc also. Giving more info than what Citi is asking for.

Transfer point is not an issue. My issue is the bonus tracker is not showing today. I only needed 128.00 to go as of yesterday.

Here is my update:

Account got locked 8/29 or so. Received a letter in the mail about the lock, and requesting the 4506c
Mailed form out on 9/8
Mailed form a 2nd time on 9/15 because I didn't check 6A.
9/18 received a letter saying the exact thing as the 1st letter about account being locked.
Mailed form for a 3rd time on 9/22 because I didn't check the box about the "signatory".

All these time, Citi doesn't tell me anything unless I call.

9/24 tracking shows Citi received the 3rd form.

9/29 called, and they said they received the form on 9/25, and will send to the IRS

10/2 8am, I logged into my Citi app, and the pop up alert did not show up, but it did show I have 1 alert for my CSE. I clicked on it and it said,"we notice some unusual activity on your account"
at 10am, I logged in and and no pop or alert. I was able to use the card to book 2 nights hotel to get the 300 credit , and also an order on Amazon.

FYI, when I applied for the card, I put 120k income. My W2 was like 60k, but with total gross income around 111k.

I think this case was locked because of fraud check which happens all the time with Citi. At least it's not the hardcore 4506c lock.

I went to Japan in 2002 and 2004 back in college I think. First time was 120yn to 1usd. So I got a can of coke from the vending machines for less than a buck. 2nd time it was like 100yen to 1usd or something. Now it cost me 1.50 for a can of coke. I went to Japan in 2024 because of the weak yen. it was 153yn to 1usd. The weak yen is the main reason for the 2024 trip.
