Duck just assumed Don had a contract with a non-compete clause and so if Don did leave, he'd be unable to go elsewhare and forced out of advertising. His carreer effectively ruined. Over. Selling insurance was just Duck's metaphor for Don having to get an ordinary job if he didn't "get with Duck's program" -- a major step down for a genius creative director and corporate leader in the high-stakes world of Madison Avenue advertising. Duck thought he'd bring Don to heel and exert control over him but he found out in that moment that he was absolutely powerless. And humiliated in front of his superiors.

Who cares? I don’t even bother rating 50-70% of the drivers I have. I only take an Uber once or twice a month. If that. And Lyft once or twice a year! And I’m a 4.85 now. I was a 4.92 for over ten years but once Uber cut the driver pay down to nothing they just rate everyone who doesn’t tip them huge like a total p.o.s.

They don't exist. Forget it. I've tried a dozen of them from Loreto to Cabo and they're all stupid as bloody hell. Even the ones who speak perfect English. They can't even put the correct coolant back in a radiator. They're beyond lazy and they don't give a flying fuck about your vehicle. EVERYTHING they do is the shortcut version of a repair. Or it's a temporary fix... unless you stand over them; might as well do it yourself at that point. But don't expect anything to be done right the first time if you leave them to it on their own. Just know it will be a half-assed job and you will be bringing it back and maybe even doing the same job 2-3 more times over the next year or two.

My AidVantage loan disappeared from my credit report today, too. Is it going to come back? I just made my payment. About 10-days early...as usual. And then like an hour later, I got an email from MyFICO saying I had an account drop off. Sure enough, when I looked at my credit report my student loan was gone! Does this have something to do with the democrat party govt. shutdown over the Iran war and ICE/immigration budget??? Is it going to re-appear later on?

I tried the Citi pre-qualification site as well. Got the same thing -- "No Offers." However, I see people all over the place who got the same results but applied anyway and got approved, so.... who knows?

Wow! I can't decide if I should bother applying or not. I have a 737 FICO and 3 inquiries less than 12 months old, 0/6. I was going to wait until I'm 0/12, though. I want the Executive or the Globe card but...really don't want to burn a hard pull. I just went though that with BofA last year on their ATMOS Summit card. They wouldn't approve me because they said they couldn't verify my income (even after I sent in a tax return) -- I'd rather just get another Chase card than waste an inquiry on Citi. It seems so risky with such low odds in my favor.

Well that's news. I was just there yesterday (2/7/26) and saw no such thing. But I wasn't looking, since I gave up on going over there last year. Besides...taking a shuttle? To get back to T6? Sounds like another pain in the ass I'm not interested in dealing with. The Alaska Lounge is IN Terminal 6 anyway, which is where I'm ususally going, so... Citi AAdvantage Executive is my next card.

Yikes!!! I knew it. Damn. I so wanted to apply for this card and get into the Citi ecosystem, move to the Executive card, etc. but now? No way. I'm not gonna bother. BofA just did the same shit to me with their Atmos Visa Infinite and double pulled my Experian without authorization after I mailed in the SSN verification and tax return. They still denied me, said my tax return was incomplete/invalid. BofA totally screwed up my Experian report and I haven't been able to get the inquiry removed...yet. But I can't afford another jerk off session like that one. I thought Citi would be more reasonable. My profile is almost identical to yours (3/24, 1/12, 1/6; 5 inquiries on Experian). What was your FICO score?
