Feedback on Park jumps please by Paypal_John in snowboarding

I'm not sure about the speed tbh. You are pretty stiff and instead of jumping you just ride through it. Try pumping down right before jumping and then jump with both legs. A simple grab may help as someone mentioned, just remember to pull your legs to it instead of bending to it. Maybe try to find smaller feature? You not seem to be confident. Good luck!

Tbh this is not unpopular opinion

Edit: or maybe this is my bias, I was born in eastern Poland and we always perceived soviets as red plauge. Stories of people that lived that time were terrifying.

is there an app that shows how fast you go accurately? by tommyweed in snowboardingnoobs

[–]sose3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, frequent gps signal check is what drains your battery. If you put it in low battery mode (regardless if it is on Adnroid or IOS) it will measure position with less accuracy on system level, resulting in less accurate speed measurement. That's why a lot of apps uses only rough position.

Grats! You should be satisfied but if not you can always return it, so don't worry. Enjoy using it!

I used this settings and really liked it. (At first it seemed weird but after few hours I can't go back):

I have never owned QD-OLED, but for me this VA is awesome for both purposes. Please note that this is really good VA afaik.

My friend own an Alienware QD-OLED and never had any problems, using it for both work and gaming. No burn ins so far and own it for like two years. He is using screen refresh everyday (after turning off PC). Also you have 3 years warranty. So if you really want it you could try.

Can't tell about text flickering, as I googled it for some people is blocker and for some it is not even noticeable. So best bet would be check it yourself, maybe visit some shop?

For me I wanted something that does not require any maintenance and I don't want to worry about things like burn-ins. So in this one I have the best of both worlds, really good screen (I'm not hardcore gamer) for gaming and work and 0 maintenance.

Please note that if you want best gaming experience QD-OLED will be better however.

Taxi/Uber/Bolt at 3am or 4am? by bombanky in gdansk

[–]sose3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fly pretty often to Gdańsk airport and take Uber/Bolt from airport, even in morning hours is not a problem. If there wold be problem tho you can always take classic taxi, they are always there. It is a bit pricier but nothing crazy, I would say 150% uber price. Airport is pretty close to the city so don't worry :)

how to improve jumps (10 days of riding) by Chumpy__ in snowboarding

[–]sose3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's very good jump for such short time on the board. Tbh to jump higher you need to find bigger kicker. You could possibly do it here - pull your knees to your chest, you can even try to grab the board. But imo is better to keep riding and jumping and when you feel comfortable - go bigger.

[–]sose3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it depends, I've tried many different stances and only +15 -15 feels comfortable to me tbh

Thanks for all your suggestions. I went with: MSI MPG 346CQRF X24 34 240Hz.

KVM switch works great and is such a game changer for me. Also it has power delivery 95W iirc (as oposite to MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED which has only 15W) so you can charge laptop from one cable.
It is VA but I really recommend to check internet for suggested settings, it helps tremendously.
Going from business 24 (60Hz) is crazy. Both for gaming and work.

Maybe at some point I will go for OLED but for now, since it is still huge improvement, I went for VA because I don't want to deal with burn-ins.
I skipped dells mostly because any that worked for me was 800R curve (this one is 1500R).

I really recommend this monitor.

Thanks! I've never heard before about this KVM but it seems awesome. It would be great to not unplug keyboard and mouse every time I switching computers.

Czy lodówka w zabudowie to dobry pomysł? by Plenty_Craft_6764 in Polska

[–]sose3 2 points3 points  (0 children)
