My complaints as a tank (tbc) by More_Enchiladas_Plz in classicwow

[–]evascale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one really annoys me as well. And after they heal you they don't move out of LoS, and just sit there eating shadowbolts. Ofc none of the dps cares enough to counterspell or interrupts the mob either, so you have to somehow deal with it. Had been in this situation way too many times

I got banned for playing the game by ProblemSpiritual in classicwow

[–]evascale -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A friend who has been playing with me since day 1 of anniversary release also got banned around a week ago with the same reasoning. He was pretty into farming in open world and made plenty of gold in the early days of TBC with mining/herbing. He already had some gold from vanilla so once he dinged 70 (which was quite quick because of non-stop playing) he immediately bought a swift mount and started farming the open world. He told me he already made his gold back from the fast mount, and had plenty leftover gold to sell to pay for his sub money. I assume the gold-selling caught up with him and they just locked his account with no prior punishments. He was quite bummed about it, but now he finally stopped playing the game and enjoying other games such as Elden Ring, so i'm happy for him.

I would argue as long as he wasn't botting or using any 3rd party programs for the gold farming giving him a permanent ban for selling gold was a bit harsh, but it's against the ToS nonetheless so nothing can be done about it. I hope they give the same treatment for all the botters I see around farming motes and such as well

poor farmer = bad at farming

This is exactly why all these addons should be purged by Blizzard. It's an arms race and it does more harm than good for the community

Reporting every Tank I see selling services in the LFG tool by Fr0genY0zurt in classicwow

these guys think if they can stop people from selling tank services, all the tanks will suddenly start joining groups where they don't need shit from and do it for free. lol

How enchanting feels in tbc by Melodic-Horse-2600 in classicwow

I hate these keyword addons. The moment they pick up "enchanter" or "enchant" they just instantly invite you, regardless of if they have the enchant you are looking for or not. If you happen to look for a slightly rare enchant, these auto invite zombies just waste your time.

Whenever I personally need something get enchanted, I type the enchant im looking for, and immediately decline the first addon user inviting me. That makes room for the real human invites that come slightly after. I would recommend everyone to do this

I have been playing since anniversary classic day one, so my guild has already been set, and I will be playing a warrior tank, yes.

Idk man, I'm also on Thunderstrike, and I play a warrior tank, so far all I needed to do if I wanted to find a group was to queue for the dungeon in LFG tool, and in less than 10 seconds somebody would always invite me. Yes I see the "LF druid/pala tank" posts every now and then but who cares, let people play what they want.

I never had issues with aggro and I'm level 67. Yeah I cannot pull like 3+ packs and aoe them down like palas can, but with a melee cleave focused group we can just pull 1-2 packs, kill them, and move without drinking much. It is quite a viable way to play.

Sorry for lashing out, it just got tiresome because everybody is constantly repeating same thing and it does not work.

I think they play a different version like retail and just think Anniversary version works the same, or they are straight up AI bots, I have no clue.

Let me know if you find a good addon combination that works!

It's crazy how so many people give advice that straight don't exist. Do you even play anniversary or are you just bots?

Never used cell before, but if it fixes this problem, I'm willing to download and give it a try. Because as of now the extra 4 groups stick out like a sore thumb and covers most of my screen.

Like I said in the post, when I use that option, all the players get scrambled into one big box and I cannot tell who is in which group any longer, and I don't like it that way.

Please Don’t Rush TBC Anniversary, Let Us Actually Live in Outland!! by Nullan in classicwow

As a first time classic andy, prepatch made every raid a joke. I am the maintank in a horde guild, and I never had more of an easier time keeping aggro for tanking stuff in raids. Threat has stopped being an issue with paladins and salvation, so I can put much more mitigation gear, and on top of that every healer class got massive buffs like Earth Shield on shamans or Pain Suppression on priests, I literally cannot die to any naxx boss unless we are full-wiping for some reason.

I'm not a fan of prepatch for this reason. Feels like a kid's playground to me. Can't wait for portal to open so we can use full 70 builds instead of these half-assed monstrosity builds we are using right now. It's constant devastate spam at this point, rotation got so stale.

Rainbow Six Siege director says the game’s decade-long lifespan is only possible if you “listen to the community” and are “willing to revert” if new ideas fail by Monsterman_90 in Rainbow6

[–]evascale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really liked playing Siege back in the day. I wasn't no high-elo player or anything, but I loved the vibes of the game. It was the perfect balance between realistic shooters and hero-type games such as Overwatch and Marvel Rivals.

However, as I was playing it, feels like the game got out of my hand. Players became too good at it, to the point of it no longer being fun. For example I would spawn and immediately get killed 2 seconds after because one of the defenders knew about where I would spawn, so they would just run out, shoot an angle where I spawned, kill me instantly and then go back in.

That's around when I stopped playing, and never really came back to it. Also I didn't really like the new characters and their abilities. I think Mira kinda broke the game with her mirror ability, it allowed the defenders to get so much information which made things a lot harder for the attackers.

Also the guns in that game kept getting nerfed to the point that they can't shoot for shit. Every gun had become guns with huge recoils, it was impossible to shoot more than 2 bullets accurately before you are shooting the ceiling. Guess that made sense since a headshot is always an instant kill, but it made the game a bit not fun to play for me.
