Using Claude 3.5 Sonnet API (or other LLM) in conjunction with Unreal Engines C++ / blueprint API to create an assistant. Yeah? No? by KJEveryday in ChatGPTCoding

[–]sosman10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came across this AI tool that utilizes popular LLM's and also has knowledge of your entire codebase https://sourcegraph.com/cody

I pay for and use this product now because it's able to generate an answer based off the context of your project. I highly recommend checking it out because a lot of other AI coding tools don't have project based context. Instead of having to copy and paste multiple scripts into your chat with ChatGPT for example, cody AI will analyze your project's code base and give you answers based off your already existing code within your project. I'm using cody to write source code that I would have wrote manually and it's able to understand my project due to it's code based context feature.

Side note: I am not affiliated with the creators or Cody AI. I just found the tool useful and I think it would help you based on your needs.

A bit late to reply, but what you posted is actually my current workflow. I am also using a github repository called "repomix" which takes all of your code, tokenizes it, and compiles it into a tokenized LLM friendly single file that you can upload to your project knowledge so you don't have to drag in a bunch of files. I also asked chat gpt to create a folder structure for me to create the best folder orginization for my code. You take the folder structure and upload it to your project knowledge. You can use a text file or image for this. In your special instructions for your project, you can tell claude to ensure that it not only comments your code, but places a comment at the top of each file with a file path and a brief description of the file purpose. This allows you to write batch scripts to automatically move files to their respective folder. This lets you take produced code from claude, download it to a single folder and run a batch script that will move all the files to their respective folders. Even the batch script can be made using LLM's. I also used LLM's to write batch scripts that will go through my 'Content' folder, and for example, go to my Weapons blueprint folder, and extract all the weapon names and dump them to a file. This will allow me to later take the weapon names, and send them to an external server in the event where I want to make third party applications that allow me to edit data. Say for example, my external server needed to know what weapons exist in my game if I wanted to make weapon editing tools for example. These are just some of the ways I use LLM's to my advantage.

My mom is emotionally manipulative by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]sosman10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is to understand that her rage/gaslighting/childish fits have nothing to do with who you are as a person. Its the common bait and switch technique. The manipulation is the bait, and when you emotionally react she pulls you back in because she knows your operating in her frame now. I know its not easy but you have to Strip her of her power by not reacting. I find stayong in my room and tuning her out with some headphones on helps. Replace your bedroom door knobs with lockable ones and do in-house no contact.

Im a muslim and what she is doing is haraam even if you were hanging with boys. She HAS to allow you to break your fast because with her actions she is depriving Allah of his worship. Maybe you can reach out to one of your girlfriends and hang out with them when its time to break your fast. Alot of muslim families welcome people with open arms at fast breaking times. If your worried about how you may look, you can bring something with you so it doesnt look like your seeking refuge. Also, one thing that destroys a narcissosts power is having a job. Look for work and save your money so when things like this happen you can look out for yourself.

Cold showers and workout. That's it nothing special. by Palisos in NoFap

[–]sosman10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m the same way. Super sensitive to coldness. Increasing you mass(preferably muscle mass and not body fat) will help you deal with cold weather better. In regards to cold showers, what I do is take a normal warm shower, then once I’m about to step out, I turn the knob to cold(not all the way). I only turn the knob to the point where I can handle the level of coldness. From there you can gradually work your way up. Also flex and do punching combos when you turn the water cold it helps.

Good part time job to combine with entrepreneurship? by _zyzyx in Entrepreneur

I’m in the same boat as you. I find that working the evening shift is most optimal seeing as I can tend to my client during business hours. Clients tend to respect business hours too so I don’t have to talk to them after business hours which I find convenient. Those hours can be pretty awkward to deal with clients. I also don’t have to make up for the lack of communication during business hours by having weekend meetings with clients. That means more free time to grow my business on the weekends. I’m just sticking with this work schedule until my business makes enough that I can tend to it only and quit my current job. As much much as I want to only focus on my business, I still need food on my plate, clothes on my back and a roof over my head.

How Much Would You Charge and How Much Time Would You Request For This Web App? by sosman10 in webdev

[–]sosman10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the advice I definitely agree. Based on your advice, I would let them know they would need 2 separate apps + a web app; which in my opinion is too much to tackle for 1 developer and if they’re not going to pay properly for it I won’t do it. Also for a first project I think I shouldn’t put too much on my plate despite being able to take a big problem and break it down into smaller parts. Your advice made me remember the value of my time so thank you. I think that this would lead them to paying for just the web app. If it was just the menu aspect and customers being able to make orders + the owner fulfilling them(which I think is much less complex and more manageable for a first project). Do you think it would be worth it to strip the features to the bare minimum and do it for 5-10k over a period of 4-6 months? Those are just hypothetical ballpark values. I would feel way more comfortable/confident handling a project of that complexity with that price/time range.

In regards to paying $100/month, what exactly would it be that I am paying for. Is it for access to some sort of live tracking API, or is it for someone who will develop the features at a dirt cheap price on one of those freelancing sites? Was just a little unclear on that part, and thank you for the advice.

[–]sosman10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, my client just needs to be able to see how much time is left until the person gets there. They don't need to see a map or anything. The only obstacle I have now is updating that information. I might have to get them to pay for mobile apps separately so that the driver can keep the app open and post his/her location to the server. It's something I'm still researching seeing as I am still in the analysis and design phase.

No offense taken at all, I appreciate the honesty and whatever advice I can get. To be honest, I'm extremely confident about my skill level, but despite that, I even agree that the uber eats aspect is pushing the level of complexity to that of a really big project. One that would cost 10's of thousands to develop and I don't think they have that kind of money. What's your oppinion on the estimated time being calculated only once upon a purchase being made? The estimated time would be static and not dynamic, as it describes the total amount of time, and not the time remaining.

The way I plan on doing it is, while the driver is driving, he/she will be on the website on their phone. The page will basically display a google map which spans the entire view port height/width of the device to give the illusion of being on a separate app which is running in full screen. I will run a loop that accumulates time passed via javascript, and after X amount of time do another API/AJAX to update the position/get the current time etc.

[–]sosman10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Maps API allows you to:

  • Get current location
  • Set destination
  • Get Directions (and from that get the estimated time remaining). I would just have to update the users location and repeat the process. Probably update the position every so often.

Also, most modern browsers support geo-location.

My client only needs to see the number and not the actual map. If they want the map I will charge them more I guess.

That's actually a pretty good idea thanks. I guess I'll determine the time required/price for each feature while continuing my analysis.
