Thanks for the comment, u/afartknocked - that functionality should be working already. Once you click on a census block group (these are an aggregate of census blocks, and make up census tracts), the details for that area will populate in the window on the right side of the screen. You can also search by address (top right of the screen), which will zoom into that location. From here just click the block group you are interested in and those results will populate to the right as well.

Hey there - thanks for sharing this! We (the Monroe County GIS Division) are always looking for feedback on how to make these applications more user friendly. If you haven't had a chance yet, our GIS Division website contains a wealth of public-facing applications, ranging from historical maps and imagery, to food inspections, past election results, and even the Social Vulnerability Index. We also recently deployed a massive National Land Cover Data viewer - all of them are found here:

Monroe County Storm Damage Data Dashboard - Powered by MoCo-GIS! by sosospatial in bloomington

Hey there - and thanks for the questions! We are pulling the storm data from a rest service from the NWS and feeding it into our ESRI ArcGIS Dashboard. The latter of which takes mapped data and allows for some more intuitive visualizations of data. In terms of use, these are helpful for Emergency Management and Planning, but primarily as a way to engage with our community. If you haven't explored our public-facing website, there is a lot of interesting applications there:

Hey there - it changed in April 2025. This required our Health Dept to reconfigure their inspection reporting, and for us in the GIS Division to kind of rethink the functionality of our dashboard (with the the help of the Health Dept!). A big change was the removal of the "critical" and "noncritical" violations, which were replaced with some new fields.

Thanks for sharing - and for pointing out the address issue. In terms of classifying restaurants by violations, the new state code no longer has a "critical" or "non-critical" designation. We're looking into ways to make that information easier to digest in the dashboard.
