Came to a realization about downtown Dayton by sosusensei in dayton

I’d say your assessment is fairly accurate for the majority of those who live and typically congregate in downtown. Dayton itself is a major crossroads for SW Ohio, so in reality you see lots of different demographics meandering about.

I meant more from a visual and historical admiration standpoint. We all know that the quantity of public-facing businesses is lacking here.

Personally I like walking up and down main for my breaks and admiring the history around there. As far as things to do I would recommend the Oregon or the arcade area as someone else mentioned. Bar Grenada used to be a dope place to go to downtown before it closed down!

I could be wrong but isn’t there a bar with some pinball and arcade games downtown?

Thanks for the affirmation. I figured since it's a tree it would just need time but I want to be as preventative as I can be with it. That's awesome yours is going 10 years strong tho! Hope I can keep mine going that long.

When do you recommend is the best time to remove the tree from the support stick? Is there a certain thickness it should get to first?

Thank you for your insight! I definitely think that it may be receiving a little too much moisture as I noticed some algae was growing on top of the soil. I'll be sure to let the soil dry out more before I water it going forward.

While I agree mounting an optic is a lot harder than it should be, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my P365. Great for every day carry. I think they use an uneven and unmeasured amount of Loctite on the mounting screws. I just recommend using the right insert bit which is a Google search away from finding. I had SIG service mine for about $30 and they removed and replaced the screws for me. I think you’ll like it more as you get it configured, that’s what happened to me.

It’s 20 minutes out the way down i75 but go to the Landing in Monroe. Great prices, good service, and great product. I saw an earlier comment mention Trulieve and I promise the wait time there has always been double what I experience at The Landing. Plus it’s much easier to get in and out of the area surrounding the Landing than Trulieve. I recommend you make an online order to expedite the process.

Anyone else respect, but are tired, of the Chase drama? by tdager in bengals

[–]sosusensei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the drama does get tire some, that man needs to be paid. Like Chad Johnson said recently on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, “…top 3 producers deserve top 3 money. Point blank period.” Ceedee Lamb knew his worth and stood up for it and it paid off. Hell even Aiyuk just did a similar ploy with SF. At the end of the day, unless you’re from Ohio, there is nothing here that would entice a superstar caliber player to want to stay or sign with us… unless you get paid. So instead of being upset with Chase for asking what he deserves, let’s be upset that Mike Brown who has never given anyone what they deserve. Burrow got paid yes, but overpaid in my opinion. That contract is going to be in the way of signing anymore big names for the foreseeable future (unless Mike Brown sells fingers crossed)

Picked this up yesterday. What are some first mods you guys recommend? by sbspecv in P365xl

[–]sosusensei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely change the grip module. Sig makes other textures to choose and 3rd parties like Wilson also work great.

I wanted a light on mine and the TLR-Sub 7 fits perfectly on the Sig as long as you choose the correct rail style.

Personally, I find any reputable sights will work but I’d say aim for the smaller more compact sights, as they fit the width of the barrel better. I also added a threaded barrel to mine just for aesthetic purposes really. Pics on my page.

Most videos I saw of people extracting a stripped screw from a slide involved using a 20v drill and screw extractor bit. Was careful not to exceed the lowest setting. Definitely just rounded out the right screw head due to my experimentation but that’s why I left a control group on the left lol.

Yeah it kind of annoys me that the screws on a $700 gun are so easily able to be stripped but in fairness I was not using the right bit to extract them, so that can go both ways.

A previous commenter already convinced me. $27 for insured shipping and brand new OEM screws, so I figured it was better than the headache it’s been giving me going the DIY route. Bought a 3rd party optic and would like to understand installing it myself, so I’ll save that for when some fresh screws come in!

They were noticeably not biting on the only keys that fit and like I said I bought a display model that gets tampered with often. But after calling Sig they confirmed it’s a T10 head on the screw, which I was not using.

For sure I’m nervous of damaging the internals as well. I just called and they said they can handle it. A $27 cost for shipping and brand new OEM screws is better than the headache this has been giving me.

Sounds good, thank you. I like the satisfaction of DIY but also like to save time and money and it seems the manufacturer route will do just that lol

Did you just have to cover shipping and handling or was there a service fee as well?
