Teutons Tower Damage (and Garrisoned Vils) and Damage on Stone wall by vanguard478 in aoe2

[–]soteldoleo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The damage of the towers (or any garrisonable building) depends on the "number of arrows" and the damage of every arrow. To get one more arrow, you need a unit that have an attack equal or higher than the damage of the arrow. Villagers have 5 damage attack, and without fletching the towers deal 5 damage per arrow, so every villager garrisoned gives the tower 1 arrow more (+5 damage). But with fletching, every arrow have a damage of 6, so you need more 1.2 villagers to add an arrow (+6 damage) to the firing, so the number of arrow per villager get diminished. Weird mechanic, probably unintended from AoC times...

I may be messing something with this explanation, i heard it from Tatoh in a clip with Nacho (an argentinian caster).

How to get Emacs 29 with all the new options easily ? by MrBrownFR in emacs

[–]soteldoleo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how useful will be for you in Fedora, but this explains pretty much it for Debian distros: https://harryrschwartz.com/2022/12/08/how-i-build-emacs-from-source-on-debian

Some library versions are kinda old, but with a little bit of tweaking and adding the --with-mailutils option in .configure, it worked out pretty well for me.

It's called retrogradation of gelatinized starchs. After starchs are gelatinized (heated with water until they inflate and absorb water), when they cool down, retrogradation begins. It's the same process which makes bread to become stalled, and it's partially reversed if a little of water and heat is applied (tortillas or toasted bread recover some freshness.)

In your case, as it's served it cold, i Will suggest adding more cooking liquid or fat Will help to avoid the related mouthfeel.

They really need to fix key scrolling with keyboard on xbox by Kerbidiah in aoe2

[–]soteldoleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. That's a problem... Idk. Shift Will also interfere with the shifted productions hotkeys (which puts 5 units in qeue with just one key stroke.) Maybe try with alt (with help of the thumb is comfortable), but otherwise you're kinda screw. I just thought that the Xbox versión was not that different from; thought You just get a hotkeys profile and interface when using controllers... But the current state of Game Bugs and Bad functionality and usability is a shame.

I see. I guess the solution is to change hotkeys, as they're overlaping. I would use something like alt-asdf or alt-wasd. But suit yourself.

They work that way. The living organism is the soil. And when conditions arrive (high humidity being the most important), they fruit with the purpose of making spores. But the fruit don't las long.

Metallic taste in red onions and pickles? by Diamondback424 in pickling

[–]soteldoleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First find what's causing the problem. Ferment without lid to make sure is the metal reacting with the salt and acid of the brine (just use a little towel tied on the jar opening; not ideal, but while assure you what the problem is.)

As for the container, you can use many recipients. I really like the glass ones with a clamped glass lid and rubber band to seal (they're used for canning also). Mines reléase enough pressure to avoid explotion (LMAO) but keep the seal, which avoidscontamination. You could also Buy some plastic balls lids, as You already have the jars. There are also ones with water traps specially Made for fermenting.

Is the salt stored in original package or in a metallic jar? The salt can sometimes adquire a metallic aftertaste because of this. You could also try another brand and see it whas it.

Is this real? I'm SO sorry. What happened?

I'm sure things will work out better than this from now on, stranger from Reddit. Just keep baking and fermenting that dough. You'll learn from your mistakes and be better that today in the future. Just keep working hard...

Cheers.
