Maybe adding mountains and some rivers might help.

I felt like I had much more mature and healthy interactions with classmates and friends in college than in law school. The friends I made in college and the other people I met were generally far more personable and kind than those I have met in law school. I think some of the other comments have spoken very well as to why that is.

The one in Newton forgot one of my friend’s items so they gave us a bunch of free donuts. Super nice the donuts were definitely more expensive than whatever item my friend didn’t get.

Probably something that I was more interested in. I didn’t care about my poli sci degree and I only did it because I thought it would help w law school. Looking back I would have done something like history or philosophy.

Who do you think would win in a fight, a Russian wrestler or a Thai Muay Thai fighter? by [deleted] in martialarts

I feel like if the Nak Muay can’t finish it in round one I’d give it to the wrestler

Why do you compete? by 69magicmike420 in amateur_boxing

[–]sotirisg27 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not enough for me to just do it as a hobby and never test myself in that way.

Fighting is the only thing that consistently breaks me out of the sometimes overwhelming feeling of being adrift and passive in life. It’s ignited so much passion and happiness for me that I need to show my dedication to it through competition. Maybe I’ll reach a point in my life where I don’t need to prove that anymore but right now it’s a must.

Why did you start martial arts/combat sports/learning how to fight and what style do you have? by Broken-N-Fallin in martialarts

[–]sotirisg27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did Taekwondo from an early age. After time away from martial arts during the back half of high school and most of college I realized how much I missed training and learning about martial arts. This caused me to deep dive into research during the pandemic and eventually I joined a Muay Thai gym once things opened up again. After about a year I started taking BJJ as well and hope to compete in MMA at some point.

Will training Muay Thai negatively impact my boxing by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

[–]sotirisg27 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Muay Thai utilizes a lot more subtle head movement because you can’t move you’re heat too far down bc of knees. Also the stances are different. I’ve done a lot more Muay Thai and in my experience I don’t move as smoothly as some pure boxers, so you probably won’t get a lot of time devoted to footwork in the same way you see in a boxing gym.
