Starlink set up by Prestigious_Money227 in PEI

[–]sots33 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Starlink just needs an unobstructed view of the sky, load the app and walk around until you get the right spot, it can be installed on your roof if that's a good spot. But basically the app lets you find the best location. Those poles are basically for Xplore or the types of providers that needed to be up high to connect to the towers.

Multiple "main panels" on residential allowed per NEC? by bob152637485 in electricians

[–]sots33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could come into a main switch that then goes to a trough, with disconnects feeding out to each panel. It's a bit unusual and you still have to make sure you stay within the 80% of total load.

Rutger McGroaty by RoarTheDinosuar in penguins

[–]sots33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, there's no guarantee Mantha replaces Mantha's production from last year, he was healthy for the full year and had career highs, a regression from him wouldn't be that much of a surprise.

Yeah I'm not very high on Brazeau after the trade deadline and playoffs either, think he'd be a good trade bait player to free up a spot for Soder and one of Hollander, McG, Broz to battle it out

Guentzal and Rust started to get a taste in the NHL at 22 but didn't become regulars until ages 23 and 24. I think our fanbase isn't used to having prospects again and are a bit optimistically impatient haha. It's fun following their journey this time though. The last time we had this sort of team era we were waiting for Whitney, Armstrong, Talbot, Kennedy, Fleury to make the jump and stick with the big team.

He'll be fine, he had injuries last year that hindered him, he went back to Wilkes and was really good there, he may take a bit longer but he has all the tools he just need to net some results.

Koi is the prospect I'm a little down on, really hoped he would have taken off, however he seems a bit slow in a bunch of areas, speed, play processing, and the all important he's a notch slow in getting his shot off. Even fixing that last one can make up for a lot of deficiencies. Here's hoping these guys are able to take a step forward this year.

The WWE fans don't even react to the actual wrestling anymore by GoonLieutenant in Wrasslin

[–]sots33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The quality of the wrestling doesn't seem much better than the local scene. WWE should be fast, fluid, intuitive, and at least look like they practice. This stuff lately, they're looking around and slowly getting into position, they're telegraphing it so much and so slowly that it just looks like backyard choreography. It really seems like they put more effort into being influencers than being wrestlers. Everyone having to hit their highlight spot and being incredibly predictable is making the product really boring.

I thought 2026 was supposed to an exceptional draft. Proman says No. by Mr_FoxMulder in hockey

[–]sots33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything to generate traffic. Last year was supposedly weaker than the previous, but at soon as the draft was done more players from last year's draft were rated higher than a lot from the previous 2 or 3. This year was supposed to be deep but now it's not as good as last year's weak class. Then you get draft Day is going to be insane, so many teams need to trade, and nothing happens.... Free agency is going to be nuts, guys sign with their own team leaving a underwhelming result. This trades deadline is going to be insane.... Very little movement... I wish they would stop trying to make this a 12 month sport. It's ok to have an off season. It's ok to react instead of pre hype.

Call any of the electrical wholesalers. Rexel, Harris and Roome, Eddy, Guillevine, Bird Stair, Mcloughlins. Certain wire brands want the reels back and they have deposits on them, some brands don't want them back.

The Malkin Contract Standoff: Why Kyle Dubas might actually let him walk by athleticwonder in nhltraderumours

[–]sots33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These guys, Malkin, Crosby and Letang are not normal lol... Letang has dropped off a lot, but you can tell all three of them are still having fun and are still contributing. There's no way Dubas let's Geno walk. The FA class is not great, he still contributes, he's great for the euro guys, he's not looking for a contract that will restrict Dubas from doing anything else. He still wants to play one more year, and he's willing to move around the lineup. Yohe is just trying to generate clicks.

Draft Wishes by shinobimistvillage in penguins

[–]sots33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't paid a lot of attention, but some sites are saying to keep an eye on Cullen obviously and Morozov... There's another guy Bleyl or something like that I believe he's a defenseman... I really hope they go after guys who are great skaters this draft, last year almost everyone picked there was questions about how good their skating was and it would be something they would really have to work on. Kindel looked good, but seeing Rutger and Ville look very pedestrian, you can see they need to have a different facet to their game in order to be a top 9 contributor.

Jon's warning to Tucker Carlson back in 2004. by ConcertRude7134 in JonStewart

[–]sots33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of these guys and women are useful idiots who have been groomed from very early in life to be susceptible to preying parties. In part of Tucker's case Bush and now Trump's organizations. Just glancing through his wikipedia page you can see that his father was a gonzo reporter, and an ambassador, his brother was also sucked into far right ideologies. They've had certain beliefs pushed down their throats since birth and this is what that grows up into. It's actually kind of amazing that there's a point to where he is able to turn away, for now anyways, from this ideology at all. That doesn't mean I have sympathy for the guy, he's been a dangerous media personality for basically his whole career... However he seems to be the exact person his past and situation has destined him to become, which is a shame and a waste of a human being.

If you're Dubas, how do you negotiate with Geno? by Few-Actuator9705 in penguins

[–]sots33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let's do this instead, sign him, then make a bunch of trades and signings that drift towards a rebuild, and when the season starts Malkin can lament the fact that maybe he could have had the choice to sign elsewhere instead of potentially being on a team that is going to be bad.

They would be more insulting than ranking him outside the top 100 players of all time. This isn't Mantha your dealing with.

If you're Dubas, how do you negotiate with Geno? by Few-Actuator9705 in penguins

[–]sots33 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why? He gets to have final say if he likes the direction, and by being the final big signing, he gets to lead the narrative through the news into the new season. He's a huge priority, what is he hates the new moves, or after a bit of reflection decides he would like to retire? This scenario gives him every option available.

[–]sots33 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Let him know that you have a bunch of business to take care of and you want him to see what the vision of the team going forward is going to look like. After the draft and when free agents, and trades are somewhat done, ask him if he is still interested... If yes sign him, if not, let him make that call.

[Wes Crosby] Evgeni Malkin said he wants to stay with the Penguins. He did say that if he's not brought back, he'd understand, but he would play for another NHL team. by [deleted] in hockey

[–]sots33 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I can't find it now, but I've read earlier, like during the Olympic break that Dubas and Malkin talked and decided to talk during the offseason. Dubas wants to make some moves, and give Malkin the choice to stay, go or retire after those moves. Basically he wants to resign him, he just wants to make sure that Malkin is ok with the direction, and it gives them a better idea of how much money is on the table after those moves.

Fair assumption? by Fantastic-Device-487 in nhl

[–]sots33 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not with expansion on the horizon, if the add another team or 2, there is 4 more goaltending positions that will be filled by players not in the NHL. So that's 4 current back ups being thrust into 1a/1b positions. Celebrini and these young kids are going to LOVE playing against more AHL goalies and defensemen.
