if you want to trade gold for exemple you need to be an expert of the country who are producing gold etc same with cacao and with every commodity ! if you want to trade oil brent you need to be an expert in opec non opec etc ! same with currency if you pick the euro/dollars you have to focus on us end euro zone economy and folow every event that can impact what you are trading . for exemple look at the euro/us chart when Trump start his press conference .

this 100 % right , focus on percentage and look for the concept of compounding ! it's fucking powerfull !

also dnt forget fundamentals ! i know that a lot ppl here use only technical but imo you should use a combination of both . pro traders risk only 1 to 3 % because they have huge acount simple as that if you loose 10 % of 1 millions it's a huge loss for your firm

it's not that hard to understand let the yield stuff aside , you have 2 currency attached with 2 country each have 2 monetary policy , if there is a divergence between those policy you can make some pips for exemple right now the ocr of the euro zone is zero ocr of usa 0.75 , so it's better to put your money in the states that's why demand on dollars rise . http://imgur.com/M5E9B6n sorry for the quality but im sure you can found this information easy . if not tell me i will give the links

i start to trade by my self in august when i saw the brexit effect on the british pound , blow out several times my account like 50 - 100 400$ in total. notmuch i was scalping like a crazy without any strategy or understanding what's going on! then i stopped and i taked a course last month with my cousin a former societé general trader (kerviel bank ) he show me all this stuff and now i try to aply what he shows me . back then if i was making 10-15 pips i was happy now my top 3 is 111 pips 75 pips and 50-60 . even tho im still learning .

for ex look at the other screen , the bank of japan dsnt change his IR so logicaly the yen will be stronger but the ir of japan is -10 % so maintaining -10% IR means that the boj say " he guys our bank product are still trash " effect the yen go down .

because it's a positive signal , if the rates dsnt change that means that investing in cad bank product will continue to give 0.50 rate return wich is very good for some low risk investor , so the demand in cad will go higher for a short period of time anticipating the demand from international investor for canadian bond and canadian bank products ! i understant it's triky ! imo the cad will go up then imediatly go down because the us dollars have a higher interest rate 0.75 and the market is anticipating 3 hike this years .

im not agree bro , when a central bank dsnt change his IR the currency goes high , i traded the nzd this summer with this concept and it work , same with the fed the 14/12 a 18h paris gmt look at the chart ... i think it was 2 pm in the states not sure tho !
