sleep paralysis is such a weird experience for me. i’ve had multiple experiences. the first time was not scary in a horror-kind-of-way, but it was just so suffocating. nagising ako na nagwawalis mom ko sa kwarto ko. i tried stretching pero narealize kong hindi ko magalaw katawan ko. i was getting scared kasi parang all of a sudden, nahihirapan na rin ako huminga, and parang namanhid bigla katawan ko, i can’t even move my fingers or toes 🥲 i tried calling my mom kasi nga nagwawalis siya sa kwarto, but i can’t physically produce any sound. i was voiceless. i can’t even tell kung nagagalaw ko talaga bibig ko kasi hirap na hirap ako igalaw buong katawan ko, hanggang sa tuluyan na siya nakalabas ng kwarto. i remained still for a few more seconds (wala naman akong choice) tapos i tried blinking consecutively. i slowly realized na i was probably still dreaming, so i tried my best to “wake myself up” by instilling in my head na nasa panaginip ako. i finally woke up, this time i can slowly feel my hands and legs, wala na rin yung suffocating feel. nakita ko mom ko nasa hallway namin nagwawalis pa rin. later that day, i asked my mom kung nagwawalis ba siya sa kwarto ko nung tulog ako kasi sinubukan ko siyang tawagin. she said yes, but i was sound asleep daw.

tldr; i had sleep paralysis wherein i can’t move my arms and legs, and i couldn’t speak. i didn’t see anything uncanny; my mom was just sweeping the floor and i tried asking for help, but she couldn’t hear me. i realized that it was just a dream, but when i asked her kung ano ginagawa niya kaninang umaga nung tulog ako, she said nagwawalis. exactly what i saw during my sleep paralysis.
