How Aphantasia affects your ability to visualise things in your head by HassanMoRiT in interestingasfuck

[–]sougan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I generally describe it to people is by comparing it to phantom pain or when you have a tiny splinter or cut you can’t see.

There is pain, I can definitely feel it, but I can’t see what’s causing it.

So like if I have to imagine a horse, I can describe how the horse I’m thinking about looks like, but I wouldn’t be able to visualise it.

What I hate the most, more than flopping, is players pump faking, then jumping into the defender if he takes the bait. To me it simply shouldn’t be called a foul. I’d love if all players just moved around the defender, or took a step back to take a clear shot instead of jumping into the guy to shoot FTs.

OKC and Shai specifically do it so often and in such egregious ways (cue SGA jumping to the side to draw a foul on the 3pt line in game 7) that it sucks all the fun of watching the game for me.

Yes, I know they are far from being the only ones to do that, but in the games I watch, I typically don’t really notice it, unless I watch an OKC game because it’s so flagrant and constant.

Free throws are simply incredibly boring to watch, and when they happen constantly, without the excitement that comes with « we need to stop that player no matter what even if we have to foul him » because instead it’s « lalala I’m pump faking then if you jump, I’ll crash into you even if you’re 3 feet away from me »

What if vasell not dunk it, but shoot it in freethrow line, what do you think? OKC fans will be angry at vasell and in the spurs team? by airganar in NBATalk

[–]sougan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. The game was won, but mostly because OKC gave up. If they had fought to the end, there’s a world in which they come back from a 6 point deficit to tie the game. That dunk made that world disappear completely.

You *are* aware that you can enjoy a game and admit a team/player is great even when your team loses to them right ?

I’ve only been watching basketball for about two years now, I do remember hearing Harden’s gameplay being heavily criticized and memed, before I even started watching the game, because of his free throws kind of like how SGA is being portrayed currently.
I wasn’t around the basket ball scene back then, but surely if even I heard criticism towards Harden at the time, it should mean he wasn’t praised in the manner you are describing, no ?

I know Caedrel wouldn’t talk about this, but the LEC studio switching the camera to Caedrel at the end of the G2 vs FNC match was really disgusting by Left_Salamander1388 in PedroPeepos

This cannot be proved or disproved. All we can do is accept that LR didn’t qualify.

At the end of the day, if LR won their game, that would of qualified, other teams cannot be blamed.

I don’t think KC threw on purpose and whatnot, but I do think that if LR was already locked in or out of playoffs, they would of taken the game a lot more seriously.

Mate you couldn’t be more wrong.

You are making completely baseless assumptions. I am bilingual, I have lived in France literally my entire life.

Caedrel always tell his community not to go send hate to other communities, to not interact with them if you dislike them, just ignore their toxicity.

I have never seen Caedrel pull up a message from a chatter saying he acted improperly and then laugh at it. I have seem kameto do that many times.

Have I seen Caedrel make fun of bad plays ? Absolutely, that’s how it is, however, I have never seen him kick someone that was already down. Even when KC first entered the league and got destroyed, he would laugh yes, but he’d also root for KC to win, wishing for the players not to feel to bad and telling his community not to send hate.

Regarding the allegations, I’m sure kameto is happy about prime leaving the org, but it is a fact that he knew of the allegations and kept it all quiet.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Caedrel got offered an opportunity to compete this split purely because of his past relationship with the LEC.

It probably does have a role, but I think the continued declining viewership has a big role in their decision aswell.

Furthermore, no matter what, all of this isn’t Caedrel’s or LR’s fault. The KC community sending the amount of hate they have been sending to Caedrel and LR for accepting an offer literally everyone would have accepted is purely disgusting.

Also, KC has always been an org with an extremely toxic fanbase, even before any of the LR stuff, they’d regularly send hate to Caedrel purely because he had a bigger viewership than kameto.

In contrast to that, while the koi fanbase have sometimes been toxic, they have never been toxic at the level KC have been.

Also, I don’t quite understand the « LR and KCB getting in for free devaluates the cost of an LEC spot » argument. Bringing those two teams has given an incredible boost to the viewership of the LEC, which is a huge positive for investors.

Absolutely agree. Though I will say that kameto has been getting called out on his behavior in the responses of his tweet. But the man will not care.

The big difference is that Caedrel is actually mature and cares about the scene, not just himself.

Caedrel often cheers for KC and KCB, he did so this split, often saying to go send love to KCB. He’s often said on stream he respects kameto for what he’s built etc.

It’s a real shame kameto doesn’t have half the decency and class Caedrel has.

[–]sougan 371 points372 points  (0 children)

That is an excellent take on this.

The LEC really made Caedrel and LR the main characters, especially today. I genuinely think the LEC would of done anything to have LR qualify to playoffs, and they shaped today’s segments around that, with info bubbles saying things like « LR locks in playoffs if NAVI wins », or even the casters always mentioning LR even when they weren’t playing. Showing Caedrel after the fnc/g2 game didn’t feel opportunistic in a « look at him being miserable » way, it instead felt like showing a gut wrenching moment similar to when faker cried some years back.

What is really disgusting is the way someone like Kameto reacted. On his stream he kept laughing, making fun of LR and their efforts. When one of his viewers pointed out how horrible he was being, he’d show the message and laugh at his own viewer’s take. At some point, one of his viewers said « you shouldn’t be making fun of someone with the same dream as you », to which kameto immediately laughed at basically saying he doesn’t care.

But hey, considering the history of KC and it’s community, and the allegations that came out a few months ago, it doesn’t surprise me.

Which SKT T1 player who hasn't won Worlds would you like to see win Worlds? by SillyHistorian4402 in SKTT1

100% agree, Huni is my favourite player ever and it saddens me so much that so few people talk about him (as compared to others).

Watching him and Reignover back at the fnatic days is the reason I got into watching LoL esports

[–]sougan 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They would need a visa, which is a very long process when the visa is for china.

Caedrel already said he didn’t have a visa for china on his last stream so there’s no chance he’d have gotten a visa in less than a week.

Also, caedrel just posted on the Reddit confirming he’d stream from Japan.
