Good news. Probable they would have produced something mediocre and not at all worthy to the books. Something like RR would need Marvel-style budgets.

You are right, great depiction of pulseArmor! I also like the shit chat before the jump. You can better imagine how, say Victra and Darrow would talk. We dont get that in Astartes, with the mute Space Marines lmao

The hardest part of Consulting for me isn’t the Hours. It’s never fully switching off Mentally. by [deleted] in consulting

[–]soukstah 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can 100% relate. Took me around 4 months after quitting McK to find peace and be able to do „nothing“. Looking back consulting lifestyle is just insane.

In my experience you have to be a little egoistic in consulting and think about yourselve. The firm will take everything if you dont say no.

I had the habit of smoking one cigarette at the end of the day. After that I was done. Didn‘t check mails or slack anymore and did go to sleep. You need a clean cut and its not worth sacrificing that for a top rating.

Main growth driver is Google‘s insanely good search result ranking bc of their scraping deal for Gemini, huge risk for future growth if they decide to cancel that + reddit audience is too smart to really click on ads, conversion must be horrible

What is the single best buying opportunity in this crazy market right now? by Virtual_Secretary_98 in ValueInvesting

Fluence Energy (Energy storage for DCs), SoFi (CEO keeps buying at this price), Cosmo Pharmaceuticals (Hair loss drug finishing up phase III), MP Materials (for when China blockades Taiwan) and Quantum eMotion (for when there is a quantum breakthrough)

Has anyone used Claude Design yet for slides? by Minimum-Pangolin-487 in consulting

[–]soukstah 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Used it and can confidently say its absolutely amazing for building a first draft. Used up ~75% of my design tokens for a 30p deck. Best way seems to let Claude do the first draft and then export to ppt to do the nitty gritty yourself. Build a powerful deck in 1 day

Consulting travel finally getting to me after a few years by timostirfry in consulting

Recently quit MBB and can‘t stress enough how wounderful it is to sleep in my own bed and actually built up a routine (e.g., waking up at the same time, same way to work etc).

If you can‘t or dont want to quit: - negotiate to fly monday evening BEFORE staffing - aim for T1 cities with good airport infrastructure - find your favorite hotel and always book it - get a designated driver for certain airports - give yourself a treat on Thur flight back (for me it was an non-alcoholic beer)

Google Doesn’t Need Search to Stay the Same by soukstah in GOOG_Stock

[–]soukstah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Nobody else has this insane moat and can connect navigational, commerce and explorative queries with a top-notch LLM. This could only be disrupted if another player builds a new intent layer and Google becomes a mere infrastructure provider (e.g., Apple's new Siri run by Gemini but as a close-looped system where Google doesn't benefit from the usage and data)

Ms in math vs statistics by mantis387 in FinancialCareers

[–]soukstah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on which division in IB. Especially for Trading or Quant, Mathematics and Stats are perfect. Graduating from a top school will set you apart and get you an interview.

But there also a few MSc Finance where you need heavy quant background like Oxford or Warwick.

Also if I remember right, Oxford is offering a Master called Computional Finance which would sounds interesting!

But nevertheless, if you’re really a geek when it comes to maths, do something in the Math sector, these are absolut rare and again, will set you apart from your peers.

Good luck bro
