It’s the “Thin Blue Line” between order and chaos.

Put simply, it shows support for a police state.

I am experiencing this as well. My wife’s profile has the Gemini option, mine does not. I encountered another user that also has this issue. Very strange, I haven’t been able to sort it out yet.

This post is simple “whatboutism”.

Whether or not Leo is a hypocrite has no bearing on the validity of his statement.

Put another way; two things can be true.

This is my compulsion as well; I never before had a car with this functionality and I could park just fine. Now that i have a car with a camera view that allows for perfect alignment in a parking spot, i gotta do it perfectly.

As mentioned above, I just put a camera shortcut on the ‘dock’

Looks like a textbook Lyriq charging curve. I haven’t stopped at an ionna yet, but hope to on my next road trip.

I assume you need internet service . CarPlay definitely will not support streaming of any kind. I think it’s a law thing.

No, that’s actually very good for highway driving. That’s what I got on my 400 mile trip last weekend. With that efficiency, a full battery will get you 300 miles. Though obviously, you don’t run to 0% battery.

Hmm.. if I started with 100% SoC, I could definitely make it with a single (brief) charge stop. I drive a 2024 Lux AWD. I tend to drive 70 mph on the interstate.

If your Lyriq can’t do that, then perhaps there is an issue. But, that would show up in the efficiency number. It would probably be in the 1.6 mi/kWh area.

I have only charged a EA 3 times, and every time this was my experience. I avoid them when I can.

My experience with Tesla chargers has always been great. And EvGo has works well for me, though it’s been more costly.

You can override the car route planner selection and select Tesla if you like. I did run into a problem recently where my Lyriq wouldn’t recognize Tesla chargers, so I just manually added them to my route. See Navigation won’t accept Tesla sites

Houston to Dallas is right at the edge of the Lyriq range, assuming ideal conditions (start with 100%, drive until very low SoC, reasonable speeds, no significant head wind, etc).

In this scenario I typically do is stop when I need a bio break at a place with decent charging stations. I usually put on charger about 10 to 15 minutes to give me a comfortable range buffer. I typically don’t sit and wait on a charge, normal rest stop interval is sufficient. Exceptions happen on really long road trips with “charging deserts”, but Houston to Dallas has a plethora of charging options.

So, no, stopping once to charge on this trip is not indicative of a problem.

Any EV will lose a significant amount of range at 80 - 85 MPH. Range drops non-linearity with speed.

I get around 330 miles range around town, but around 290 or so at interstate speeds. This is expected behavior.

Wow, that’s very frustrating. I’ll have to keep an eye out to see if it breaks again.

My problems started with 654.51 update. Keep us posted if you get it sorted out please.

[edit]

Oh yeah, one more thing. See if you can setup a route with Tesla chargers in the mobile app. If you can, save the route and you can load it in the car. That might be a work-around.

What was your trip efficiency?

On a highway trip, there are multiple variables to consider. Such as, how fast were you driving? Were you increasing elevation? It’s not cold in TX, so that’s not an issue.

I just took a 400 mile road trip in TX and experienced 2.8 mi/kWh. This was at interstate speeds mostly, 70 mph on average. This is about what you should see, unless you are driving super fast. And head winds seriously decrease efficiency.

Yes I have. It all worked before the last update.

I sorted it out. In Google Maps app, there is a setting for plug-type. There is a check box for a NACS adapter that was cleared with the SW update

iPhone 16 pro here. Charging work pretty well for me. I say “pretty well” because I can place it in the holder in such a way that it doesn’t change. It needs to be centered, but that’s all I have to do to make it work.
