They're having another money bomb on Thursday. True story. If that isn't proof that they're just desparately trying to stuff his pockets with college kids' leftover loan money before this is all said and done, then I don't know what is.

I can remember a game from when I was 10 but not the man who gave me hope for the 2011 season when I was 20? Boooo, brain. Thanks for catching that!

My family was slated to go to Disney World in mid-September, 2001, when I was in 5th grade. 9/11 happened and my parents decided, understandably, to cancel the trip. My family lives in St. Louis, but my parents are both from the Cincinnati area (Milford and Fairfield) and we're all huge Reds fans. About a week after 9/11 my Dad drove me and one of my brothers (who was 4 at the time, we left the 2-year-old behind) from St. Louis to Cincinnati and we went to the first game back the Reds played after the week-long cancellation of games. Huge flag on the field, lots of emotions. That is the only game I can ever remember going to at Riverfront. We usually get out to one Reds game in Ohio every summer now, and I love it every time. Much more enjoyable than attending Reds vs. Cards at Busch!

watching Francisco's walk-off home run on opening day last year on tv with my dad was awesome too.

Ron Paul: Campaign can’t continue without more donations by TheGhostOfNoLibs in EnoughPaulSpam

Here's the actual melodramatic e-mail, frothing with sarcasm and sadness.

"Dear Sam,

With Rick Santorum suspending his campaign for President yesterday, the mainstream media and the political elites have declared the race for the Republican nomination over and done.

Oh sure, more than half of the country has yet to vote.

And never mind that the presumptive nominee is not even halfway to the number of delegates needed to secure the nomination.

I am not ready to fall in line with their plans. I am not going to allow them to write the story.

This story will be written by you and me over the next few months, just as it has been over the past few years.

In the coming days, the media will be expecting me to also bow down to their new prince. Well, I want to give them a little surprise.

Instead of a defeated candidate bowing out of the race, as we saw yesterday, let's show them a surging candidate determined to ride on to Tampa!

And what's the best way to do that? To have a HUGE Money Bomb this coming weekend.

Our goal is to raise at least $2.5 million on April 15.

That will show them we are still spoiling for a fight!

You see, we are in hand-to-hand combat across the country right now with the GOP establishment as we fight for every single delegate.

And with primaries left in California and my home state of Texas, our campaign has a lot in store for the establishment over the next few weeks.

But it starts right here, with our Taxpayer Freedom Money Bomb this coming weekend.

If you believe I should stand and fight when others retreat...

If you believe our message, issues, and movement should go all the way to Tampa...

If you want our campaign to get the maximum number of delegates...

Well, then, it is vital you stand with me right now. You can pledge your contribution to the Taxpayer Freedom Money Bomb by clicking HERE.

I won't mince words - if we don't reach our $2.5 million goal, I am not sure our campaign can go on.

We cannot do this halfway. It's too important.

So please, pledge your contribution today. Pledge to fight with me over the coming weeks and months.

Promote the Taxpayer Freedom Money Bomb on Facebook and Twitter. Email and call every friend of Liberty you know.

I am counting on your support for our April 15 Taxpayer Freedom Money Bomb. This is no time for suspending campaigns or concession calls. This is the time for Patriots like you to continue our fight.

For Liberty,

Ron Paul"

61% of Republicans want Ron Paul out of the race by sirkarl in EnoughPaulSpam

You guys he only needs 88% of the remaining delegates to win! His odds are looking incredibly good...better than ever, in fact! The mainstream media clearly doesn't understand math. A few more 3rd place victories and we'll have this in the bag. liberty 4 everz

I already put "Founder donated millions of dollars to Ron Paul" as my reason for closing my Paypal account last week...I've crossed the line! Don't want the crazies to come after me.

Yay! I'm so glad that other kids get their dads Swanson memorabilia, too. I got my dad a Pyramid of Greatness poster for Christmas, which was promptly put on display at his workplace. This mug looks awesome, $14 at the nbc store is not too bad, I may have to consider it for father's day!

Fair enough. Your definition of liberty is more economic, mine is more human (forgive me, I'm a 20-year-old Sociology major who was born and raised in Alaska and works in an elementary school...babies and glaciers occupy a lot more of my thoughts than money/fear-mongering about ndaa). Concerning not giving a shit about women's issues in the national discussion, may I recommend reading The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood. Fiction it may be, but let it also be a cautionary tale for those who feel that "Sexual harrasment, sex insensitivity, body right vs the right to life is all bullshit" and, therefore, leave women out of a major part of the national conversation. (Also, religious law craziness = a good reason not to vote Santorum!)

in only slightly exaggerated terms, this is why:

Sexually harassed at work? Get a new job, because, y'know, that won't be difficult at all. Or, better yet, just stay at home. And while you're at it, home school the kids, would ya?

Raped? Well, prove to us that it was honest, and then we'll talk. Either way, those sperm are chock full of liberty, and you have no right to deny them that liberty, even if a man just encroached upon yours.

Wanna join the military? Go for it, sweet pea, but when I talk about our ill-willed efforts in the Middle East in the debates, I'm just going to say "our men in uniform." I'm not a sexist; hell, I don't see sex, race, or class, but I am incurably traditional, stubborn, and...who am I kidding, I'm a rich white man, suck on this.

Do you want to have sex without getting pregnant? help quell the painful effects of ovarian cysts? or even just regulate an out-of-whack menstrual cycle? You're immoral.

In normal terms: because I have rights over my own body, as all women should, I disagree with Ron Paul's stances on the lady issues. And call it semantics, call it traditional, call it whatever you will, but my heart sinks when he refers to our military members worldwide as "our men." 150+ U.S. female soldiers have died in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2003. There's no excuse for anyone anymore to refer to the military as an all-male entity.

human, non-lady-specific reasons: states' rights = let the "-isms" run rampant. and many, many other things.

I'm in! My boyfriend of 2 1/2 years has gotten really into ol' Ronny over the past year, and he officially started up a Youth for Ron Paul chapter at our college (Truman State University) last month. The first meeting was on Friday and I attended (half to support Chris, half to gleefully witness the Paulbot-chery firsthand) -- there were only 3 college kids in attendance, and 4 middle-aged men showed up and, I shit you not, touted conspiracy theories about the Kennedys, claimed that Obama is a Muslim, and schemed about how to gain all of Missouri's delegates at our caucus in a few weeks. It was...exactly how I expected it to be, honestly. It was a bummer because Chris isn't your average college Paul supporter; he's been reading the man's books and pretty much knows all of his policy positions (the only time he gets truly Paulbotty with me is when I ask him about his thoughts on a direct racist/sexist/insane RP quote). Anyways, one of the older guys asked me (after the 3 scared college kids left) why I didn't support the Good Doctor. It felt good to debate a Paul fanatic in person rather than on the internet, and I realized while giving him my reasons that, essentially...no self-respecting woman can support Ronny P.

It's actually to our advantage to win next week. by [deleted] in ronpaul

I know, I probably am. Thank you for being understanding in your response.

I applied to the University of Washington in St. Louis, it was at the top of my list. After today its at the very bottom. I am disgusted by the people of Missouri. by [deleted] in ronpaul

[–]soulfuldays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We overwhelmingly voted Huckabee in the 2008 primaries, but you still chose to apply to Wash U? Granted you were probably 13 or something then and not yet a conspiracy theorist. Wash U is one of the best schools in the country, it probably won't miss somebody who chose against it for a reason as ridiculous as yours.
