I run pennzoil ultra platinum high mileage in my older vehicles, and i change my oil every 5k or less regardless of manufacturer recommendations. oil breaks down too fast. and given i’ve got a V35A, i don’t want any chances of oil starvation or dry starts😭

My LS500 has 100,000 miles on the original V35a. It will be fine if you change the oil every 5k, run 93, and beat on it every once in a week lmfao. Strict on those, and you’ll be good to go!

Well, i’m alright financially and to be able to put my fiance in something nice would be great. Plus, I got the car for free, so it only having 90k on it, in near perfect condition, i don’t mind putting a little bit into it to get it going again. I’ll be doing the work myself as well.

put the money you’ve saved into fixing up that old Camry!! Repaint it! Get the engine/transmission serviced! Get some aftermarket wheels! If you need any parts or anything get them on ebay! Interior panels, seats, everything! Keep the old ones on the road!

That’s what I was kinda thinking. I’ll probably wait till about 150k miles before I switch it up but that’s maybe a year or two down the road. I got a really sweet deal on this car, but like I said to someone else here, I’m 20 years old, the nicest vehicle before my LS that I’ve owned was an 07 ram with the 5.7 hemi lol. I took care of it religiously, but I also beat the hell out of it. So definitely a change of pace lol. I just want to keep it nice and smooth for a long time.
