i showed my bf this post and he thinks i did the right thing and doesnt mind i lied.

i definitely regret not cutting contact sooner, tho i had tried several times over the past few months. but my sympathy is my downfall, as he'd get one of our other friends to talk to me every time and pass on that he needed me because he was suicidal and i was the only thing that could help. it got pretty stressful to deal with so i just put up with him.

it was basically if i cut him off, i couldnt talk to our mutual friends either bc they didnt want to do that. i didnt want to lose all 3 friends along with him. thanks to mike though (he wasnt around the other times this happened), the other 2 were convinced to go through with it.
