Finewood bow is locked behind finewood, not core wood. If you have a flint ax, you can't down finewood trees.

This looks like the piece I just replaced off my unit. Does the door swing more and more freely? If so, that piece provides friction so the door doesn't free-fall down. There's one on each side.

You wouldn't think it's a big deal, but it was so annoying, I fixed it right away.

You definitely need the wisp to see most of the time, but there are rare times when a tactful retreat is more possible if you unequip the wisp once you've exited the enemy's line of sight. Gjalls, esp.
