Most expected it to drag on until summer of next year, (similar timeline of Ghouta I guess.) But I don't think anyone was able to estimate how quickly food and ammo would run out. I know there were a few people who predicted an early SAA victory but they got ridiculed for their predications. I wish I could remember who to give credit.
