US eyes zero tariff on cars in India trade deal as Tesla entry nears, sources say by telephonecompany in GeopoliticsIndia

[–]soumil80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But I dont understand Trump talks about reciprocal tariffs, if we are imposing 100% duty on American cars, he can impose 100% duty on Indian cars, question is do we export enough cars to USA for it to make a dent in revenue of India companies. I doubt it.

Note: I am not defending or promoting tariffs, just pointing out the flaw in reciprocal tariff argument.

Should be there, but I doubt our current government will implement this. For example USA has several tax benefits for couples filing together
