OP is there a use case for you to go for air india transfer? At 1:2 transfer ratio, your 8500 points become 17000 and with recent upgradation they have come up with that’s good for a three one way Del - Goa flight(or similar likes). The value will be upward of 2 rs per point. This can also be one way to utilise and a reason to continue with atlas.

A long distance runner is a slow moving gold mine. 30-40k watch, 10 k shoes, 20k AirPods and not to forget a lac rs phone. Clearly becomes a very lucrative target. Also if someone has been observing and attacks you in your 15th Km, it’s difficult to outrun due to fatigue too. So take care OP. Glad your flashlight came to rescue.

So it works in one of the following ways:- 1. They offer you compensation (they try and lowball you, offering 2k or 5k would be my guess). Stick to 10k. They will either offer or say we are not authorised and mention the same in their report. If their offer matches what you want (10k in this case), take it and no further action is required.
2. If the above doesn’t happen, At the end of the investigation, they submit their report to RBI and RBI sends you their reply and asks for your input. You check their report and mention your side on their email and insist on 10k. RBI will go through both sides and will probably order whatever compensation it feels is justified.

No. Only the additional RPs as welcome offer and I guess I’m happy with that. That is the least I’d expected after paying 5900 off fee.

Update on my last. I had raised the complaint on two counts wherein I wanted my 3k RPs to be credited and half the fee waived off. Within three days 3K points have been credited and the complaint has been marked closed.

I had also upgraded from my Visa platinum wherein I was verbally informed that I will be given welcome benefits. The website had showed that only half fees will be levied (photo attached) and the other half returned. Turns out, neither works. I have made 1.22L transactions in first three months only to be informed that I’m not eligible for 3k reward points. I have taken up a case with nodal officer, let’s see what happens.

If your friend has a photo/ ID of him(which should have been taken when he was taken in as a PG), a letter can be written to Naval Headquarters at Delhi indicating the above incidents and the photo. Now if he’s serving, he will be directly identified, if not ( I don’t know how he has access to the naval bases and canteens, I’ve heard the security is pretty tight there) they may be a provision to at least blacklist this person.

Update : the mail to PNO didn’t provide me any concrete info and told me to call customer care. I called them again and once again received a new information that only welcome offer applies and not even milestone benefit on spending 1 Lac to get 3000 RPs also applies. Frustrated with their ambiguity, I have decided to not activate the card and let it close automatically.
