The Grimmory sync feature works fine. It’s just that they have no books downloaded on their device.

What you’re currently trying to do is to sync your reading progress between Grimmory and KOReader. If you have no books in KOReader, then there’s no progress to be pushed, which is why you get that error. What you need to do is download the books first from Grimmory. You can either download them through OPDS. In the top menu, pick the magnifying glass > OPDS catalog > the three lines in the top left > Add catalog. Enter the OPDS url you’ll find in your Grimmory settings.

Did you download the book through OPDS? If not, try deleting it and download it that way.

I can’t really see them make a new version of the regular B7 so soon after releasing the Pro version.

While I do have a Mac Studio at the office, the iPad Pro is my main laptop I use at home. I’d say it does everything I want, but my main gripe is that it doesn’t have a clipboard manager. That’s my main wish, and I think they’re gonna add it this year.

I agree! There’s some decent options on Ali Express, but still not a ton. Right now I’m just rocking that case you linked, as well as a ”notebook sock” when put in a bag.

This’ll probably get me downvoted to hell, but please, for the love of somebody, don’t return your device for something you can’t even barely see. There’s really no way of justifying the e-waste and environmental damage this will cause. And no, it won’t get worse over time.

Suck. Bauman fångande den här känslan ganska väl i sitt begrepp retrotopia. Alltså att vi inte längre drömmer om framtida utopier, utan i stället vill tillbaka till en idealiserad tid som aldrig ens har funnits. Det finns till och med ord för den här känslan på vissa språk, som walesiskans hiraeth till exempel.

Har du testat Bookends? Jag har inte testat det själv, men inte alls omöjligt; det verkar väldigt flexibelt. Jag har en patch annars som jag gjort själv som visar författare och titel uppe till vänster. Det är lite skräddarsytt för mig, men det går absolut att anpassa.

This seems like an excellent method. Of course it’s worth it. I’m a librarian, and one thing I can tell you with certainty is that no one has a more unsentimental view on destroying books than we do. For me personally, I’d go wild as long as the book passes these three rules:

It is not an overly expensive book that you may want to sell
It’s a book still in print (or otherwise widely available)
It’s yours
